Now you will not surprise anyone with a variety of varieties of vegetable crops. And tomatoes in particular, of which more than a hundred breeders have already bred. In our country, tomatoes are grown not only of Soviet selection, but also of American or European origin, and this article will be devoted to the Pink Paradise f1 tomato, the breeding laurels of which belong to scientists from Japan. Previously, it was difficult to get Pink Paradise tomato seeds, but now they are on free sale, so it would not be superfluous to familiarize yourself with the description of this tomato variety, with its disadvantages and advantages, and the nuances of growing.
Description
The Pink Paradise tomato belongs to the indeterminate varieties of tomatoes, so it is more suitable for growing in a greenhouse (observe the conditions in the greenhouse, as for most tomatoes). Most gardeners prefer film shelters for growing this species than glass greenhouses, growing this variety of tomato in the open field is even rarer, but this is also an option (in this case, you just have to try harder to provide the plants with comfortable conditions). Medium early ripening tomato: Pink Paradise tomato seeds are sown in March, and the crop can be harvested 65-75 days after planting. Like all indeterminate varieties, it grows up to 2 m in height, the bushes are well leafy, vigorous.
Tomato fruits deserve special attention. They are relatively large – their average weight is about 200 g (they can be either larger or smaller, depending on the care of the plants), rounded or rounded flat. Tomatoes are pink in color, do not have a characteristic (for many types of tomato) green speck at the stem, and have excellent taste. The pulp is firm and juicy. Most often used fresh, suitable for processing into tomato products.
Advantages and disadvantages
Tomato Pink Paradise deserves only the best reviews (by the way, most of the reviews are very positive), because it has a lot of positive qualities (this applies not only to fruits, but also to plants in general). The first thing most consumers are interested in is productivity. Everything is fine with this parameter, it belongs to high-yielding varieties. The second is the difficulty in growing. The variety does not require any specific agricultural practices. Since it is determinate, a garter is required, it is easily formed into one stem. It is immune to many diseases: it is almost completely resistant to brown spot and nematode, rarely susceptible to verticillium and fusarium wilt, and is practically not affected by fungal viruses. So you should not have any problems when growing, but before planting the seed is still recommended to be treated prophylactically.
The fruits have other advantages, in addition to excellent taste characteristics (by the way, in 2011, at one of the seminars, Pink Paradise was recognized as one of the best pink varieties). Tomatoes for universal use, do not tend to crack. They are well transported (no need to be afraid that at the end of the trip a liquid mass will remain after them) and retain an attractive appearance for a long time, in particular a glossy sheen (they can lie for about 3 weeks without losing their positive qualities).
This variety has practically no drawbacks, except that it is a hybrid (this is indicated by the designation f1), that is, you cannot get Pink Paradise tomato seeds on your own, you just have to buy it.
The variety is perfect for those gardeners who want to try growing something new, but are not ready to spend a lot of time and effort on growing, and get a sufficient harvest of good quality.
