  • Waiters in a Chinese cafe

A Hong Kong restaurant bought nine robots for € 9.000 each, and put them as waiters in its restaurants. The customers are delighted, especially the children. The robots have a five-year warranty and are cheaper than employees, and more efficient. They even respond in Mandarin Chinese with more than 40 sentences.

  • Pizza Hutt

Pizza Hutt will have robot waiters. By the end of 2016, Pizza Hut, in partnership with Master Card, will place a robot called ‘Pepper’ to take customer orders. The robot has the ability to interpret human gestures, voice and interact with humans.
