The number of hospitalizations hit a record during the fifth wave of the coronavirus in Poland. It will drop from now on. As the health minister announced on Twitter, the number of occupied covid beds will be lower by almost 700 on the following day.

700 less occupied beds
On February 15, the Ministry of Health informed about 22 thousand. 267 new COVID-19 cases in Poland and 378 deaths. According to the ministry’s data from Tuesday, 19 are occupied. 166 covid beds. Occupied covid beds – what was the record?
The number of occupied beds intended for coronavirus patients has been increasing since January 23. On that day, the Ministry of Health informed that 13 people were seized. 491 beds. The pace of growth began to slow down on February 10. On February 15, the record for the fifth wave in Poland was achieved – it is 19 thousand. 166.
As you can see, almost three weeks after the peak of incidence (on January 27, there were 19 new COVID-57 infections, 559), the peak of hospitalization came. On Wednesday – according to the minister’s announcement – the number of covid patients in hospitals is expected to be around 18,5 thousand.
