For the first time I saw this charming guy in one of the stories of the film “Paris, I love you” (2006). Kinoalmanach was created by eighteen directors from several countries, each of whom shot an episode dedicated to one of the 18 arrondissements of Paris.
Then there was the second “meeting” in The Long Engagement, a detective drama based on the novel by Sebastian Japrizo. For this role, he received “Cesar”. The picture brought worldwide fame to Gaspard, who personally presented the film in many countries, and also visited Moscow during the week of French cinema.
Remember the TV ad about the men’s fragrance “Chanel Blue”? This was the third “meeting” with Ulliel, which prompted me to familiarize myself with his biography.

His biography begins like this: he was born on November 25, 1984 (zodiac sign – Sagittarius) in the suburbs of Paris. From childhood, parents formed the style of their son (mother is a stylist, father is a designer of sportswear).
There is a small scar on his cheek which makes the actor even more attractive. Ulliel happily tells the story of the scar: at the age of six, he jumped on the back of a dog (Doberman) sleeping in the garden to ride, but the teeth of an angry beast went over his face.
Curiosity is helpful
Since childhood, the boy dreamed of becoming an architect, but his mother’s friend opened an agency that recruited young actors. Gaspar came to this agency out of curiosity and started acting in TV shows at the age of 12 and very soon he really fell in love with cinema, even wanted to become a director or screenwriter.
After graduating from the lyceum, the guy entered the University of Saint-Denis, where he studied cinema. He made his film debut in 1997 in Mission: The Bodyguard; then the films “Nickname” (1999); Brotherhood of the Wolf (2001); “Kiss whoever you want” (2002).
Ulliel improved his performing skills by attending acting courses, where he was noticed by the classic of French cinema Andre Teshinet. Ulliel got the lead role in the film Lost (2003).
Then there are a number of films: “Tulse Luper’s Suitcases”; “The Long Engagement” to Audrey Tautou; “Last day”. 2007 – the long-awaited film “Hannibal: Ascent” was released on the world screens, in which Gaspard embodied the image of the cannibal and esthete Hannibal Lecter, 2009 – “Princess de Montpensier”; 2011 – “The Art of Love”.
But the acting talents of our hero do not end there. In an interview, he said: “I take pictures walking the streets or sitting at home, right from the windows, and only on black and white film. I also experiment with painting – mostly abstract. ”
The face of the house “Chanel”
In addition to acting, the actor Gaspard Ulliel works in the modeling field and is the face of the house “Chanel”. You can recognize the charismatic Frenchman by looking at the “Chanel Blue” ad.
A favorite of women with a height of 1,80 m, he proved that he is not only handsome, but also a talented actor. The stylish Frenchman embodied the image of the great Yves Saint Laurent.
Film “Saint Laurent.
