Acti Voltaren

Voltaren Acti is intended for use in: headache, muscle pain, toothache, rheumatic pain, acute pain in the lumbosacral region, painful menstruation and symptomatic treatment of flu and colds (pain and fever). The active substance of the drug is diclofenac potassium, which belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. The preparation is in the form of coated tablets and is dispensed without a prescription.

ACTION

Voltaren Acti is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, the active substance of which is potassium diclofenac. It has an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect, it lowers the temperature.

Voltaren Acti indications and dosage

Voltaren Acti are tablets designed to relieve pain:

  1. head,
  2. muscles
  3. joints,
  4. rheumatic,
  5. the lumbosacral region,
  6. menstruation,
  7. flu and cold symptoms.

Dosage

Voltaren Acti is in the form of film-coated tablets and it is recommended to take it whole orally (preferably before a meal and with water). Do not use more than the recommended dose, but the use of Voltaren Acti should be limited to 5 days for the treatment of pain and to 3 days for the treatment of fever.

  1. Adults and children after 14 years of age. Initially 25 mg, then 12,5-25 mg every 4-6 hours if necessary. The maximum dose is 6 capsules a day.

Voltaren Acti and contraindications

Contraindications to the use of Voltaren Acti are:

  1. hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation,
  2. gastrointestinal ulceration,
  3. bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract or elsewhere (e.g. from the vessels of the brain),
  4. an asthma attack
  5. hives or acute rhinitis caused by acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs,
  6. III trimester of pregnancy,
  7. the period of breastfeeding.

Voltaren Acti – warnings

  1. Do not use the drug in children under 14 years of age.
  2. Treatment should be stopped at any of the side effects and consult a doctor.
  3. Patients suffering from asthma, cardiac, hepatic and renal dysfunction, hypertension, coagulation disorders and hepatic porphyria should be especially careful.
  4. Before taking the drug, people who experience abdominal pain and other gastrointestinal disorders after taking painkillers should consult a doctor and exercise caution.
  5. In elderly patients, the lowest effective dose of the drug should be used, and in the event of side effects, consult a doctor.
  6. People with intolerance to selected sugars should consult a doctor before taking the drug because it contains lactose.
  7. Women in the first or second trimester of pregnancy should consult a doctor before taking the drug.
  8. It is contraindicated to take the drug in the third trimester of pregnancy and during breastfeeding.
  9. The drug may cause side effects in people who drive motor vehicles (e.g. dizziness).

Voltaren Acti a inne leki

Consult your doctor if you are taking together with Voltaren Acti:

  1. anticoagulants (e.g. acenocoumarol, warfarin),
  2. lithium, digoxin, methotrexate, cyclosporine,
  3. oral antidiabetic drugs,
  4. diuretics,
  5. chinos,
  6. anti-inflammatory or analgesic drugs (e.g. acetylsalicylic acid, ibuprofen).

Voltaren Acti – side effects

While taking Voltaren Acti, you may experience:

  1. nausea,
  2. vomiting, abdominal pain,
  3. discoloration of the urine or stools (e.g. black)
  4. rash,
  5. an asthma attack
  6. swelling (face, legs, feet),
  7. liver problems (yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes)
  8. long-lasting sore throat,
  9. high fever,
  10. severe headache.

Other possible side effects include: headache and dizziness, fatigue, insomnia, tinnitus.
