Acrylic nail extension. Video
Acrylic extensions are especially popular among girls who prefer long, spectacular nails: because of the strength of this material and its natural appearance. You can wear such nails for 3-4 months, and they are removed easier than gel nails.
The acrylic extension procedure is less laborious compared to using a gel. Acrylic is a mixture of a liquid monomer and a powder polymer, which together form an air-curing polymer – a soft plastic material that is shaped into a nail. On average, the procedure takes 2-3 hours.
Do not use nourishing hand creams and oils on the eve of building, as the resulting film on the nails will quickly peel off the artificial polymer coating
First, using a fine-grained file, the master removes the upper shiny layer of the nails and treats them with an antiseptic, gently pushes the cuticle back. Then a primer is applied to the nails – a “primer” material that levels the surface and prepares it for building.
If tips (plastic tips) or molds (flexible plates for forming nails) are used, then they are pre-selected in size for each nail. They are glued with a special glue and then sealed with acrylic. If molds are used, then they are filled with acrylic and applied to the nail, fixing along the edges. When the polymer hardens a little, the shape or tips are removed and the edge of the nail is formed into the desired shape. The surface is degreased, sanded, and then a “seal” coat is applied on top for shine and smoothness. Then varnish is applied. It is worth noting that it lasts longer on artificial nails.
Since a person’s nails are constantly growing, it is necessary to correct the artificial covering every 2-3 weeks. In the course of nail correction, the master files the grown artificial nails and gives them the desired length and shape. If this is not done, then you can lose them as a result of minor mechanical stress.
Extended nails can be filed with a fine-grained non-metallic file, but not cut
Unlike gel nails, which need to be filed off, acrylic nails are much easier to remove. First, their free edges are removed, and then the fingers are dipped into a special acrylic dissolving liquid. This should be done in the salon, where the natural nail plate will also be treated with a restorative agent. After removing the acrylic, you need to take care of your nails with special nourishing and moisturizing creams.
