Before you learn to live happily, you need to put things in order in the house of your soul.

How to become happy? There are recipes, but they will be very different for different people.

Achieving happiness can be likened to home improvement: if the house has a rotten foundation, then decorating the house and hanging pink curtains and turning on music is stupid enough, because the house is shaky and a bad smell is coming from the basement. Returning to the achievement of happiness: if a person has serious mental problems, it is too early and wrong for him to seek happiness, this is not yet a timely task for him, he must first create the prerequisites for happiness: put things in order in life, in body and soul.

It is easiest to start with order in the body. A well-built body (straight back, turned shoulders), muscular relaxation (perfectly combined with good posture and energy), a happy face (happy eyes), easy gait and free breathing contribute to the state of happiness. All this can be done arbitrarily and become habitual. By the way, pay attention: to be strong and long happy, you need a lot of health, otherwise you won’t have enough breath. Remember that health is the bodily basis of happiness: for most people, happiness ends as soon as their teeth get very sick.

When they turned their shoulders, corrected their posture and eyes, resolved health issues — it’s time to start putting things in order in life. There is a lot to do here: it is important to develop business and life success, improve the ability to build relationships, improve the well-being of yourself and your loved ones … Write goals for the coming year, and you can start by putting things in order on your desk and removing clothes from chairs.

Often it is nothing but the result of certain and firm measures, not noticed by the crowd, but nevertheless preparing a certain event. More often it is the result of the manifestation of personal qualities, character, behavior. The first premise is qualities and character, the second is behavior, the conclusion is happiness or unhappiness.

And the most important and most difficult thing (for the majority) is to put things in order in the soul, so that we are warmed by beautiful, bright images and supported by thoughts that invigorate us. We do not litter the soul with negativity and problems, the head thinks, feelings help it, ensured spiritual stability and invulnerability … We observe three NOT: we do not complain, we do not blame, we do not make excuses … Order!

And only when a person has order in life, in body and soul, when the house of his soul stands on a good foundation, everything is good and solid, then it is necessary to deal with happiness, build happiness.

A house can be both durable and, in principle, comfortable, but if there is little light and beauty, there are no flowers, movement and music, there is still no soul in it, no joy. There is a very good formulation: “Happiness is not the goal of life, but a way of being.” If you have learned to see joy in everything, if you have meaning in life, if you know how to live cheerfully, know how to see pluses in what you do, in what others do, know how to be grateful and have learned to bring joy to yourself and others — you live happily. And anyone who looks at you will say that this is the truth.

You can’t run after happiness, it’s stupid to wait for it, but creating the prerequisites for happiness and turning it on every day is quite real and just right. No one argues that it is better to be rich and healthy than poor and sick, but a lot of money and full health is not a guarantee of happiness.

According to D. Kahneman’s research, Americans with an income of less than $60 a year are unhappy, and the poorer they are, the more unhappy they are. But everything above this figure gives an absolutely even straight line. Further, the amount of income does not affect the amount of happiness in any way.

To live happily, you need to develop the ability to be happy. To be happy is the same skill as the ability to swim, and learning to be happy is possible and necessary. In short, you need the habit of living on a high emotional tone, seeing the good around you, not the bad, doing what you love, being grateful to people and life, and sharing your happiness with others.

Please add to this the protection of your happiness — develop emotional stability and spiritual invulnerability so that you do not sink into depression during the serious blows of life.

And when you have learned to be happy and do it confidently, this skill should be put into habit mode, made your favorite habit: “I live like this every day!” When a person is used to living a happy lifestyle, he will do it without effort, without tension: he moves easily, it is easy for him to smile, it is natural for him to compliment others and share joy. And if a person lives happily in essence, lives a meaningful and beautiful life, then even with any feelings he will honestly say to himself: “Yes, my life is really happy, I have done a lot of worthy things in this life.”

Will you always experience your happiness? — That’s up to you to decide. Happiness, like any business, also occupies part of our attention, and this is not always in our plans. Not everyone lives in happiness, even when they are objectively happy: someone gets distracted or forgets to do it, someone just doesn’t care or is not up to it.

Conscious people know that they are happy — always, and turn on happiness when they or others need it.
