PSYchology

There is a theory that due to luck and an easy attitude to life, you can achieve much more than working hard and hard. What do you think about it?

There is such a theory, there are definitely such dreamers. But there is no reason to believe that this theory has any serious evidence. Does it happen that people are lucky? — It happens. Is it right to rely on luck and maybe — no. Those who rely on luck sooner or later end up in the category of gamers, and this is a very difficult category of people. Those who believe in luck and luck, go to nightclubs and try to beat fate at roulette, are practically incurable themselves and greatly upset their relatives when they lower all their property. The theory of luck is not for adults.

Another thing is that Timur Vladimirovich’s achievement and approach as a whole is not about that. Timur Vladimirovich is a wise man, and Timur Vladimirovich does not tell such flat, shallow, narrow-minded things. Achievement is not about those idlers from Russian folk tales who hope for good luck and maybe. And about what? There are different life strategies. Here, for example, is a strategy that, relatively speaking, has the name «projectile». A person has set a goal for himself and, further, energized, believing that the goal must be achieved without changing direction and only increasing pressure, rushing in the direction of the goal in order to achieve it. Such a strategy can be very useful and necessary for those people who are prone to doubts: now they decide, tomorrow they change their mind, make a new decision — and a day later they change their mind again, they hang out like that and do not come to any result. However, being a projectile is not an optimal life strategy, and Achievement aims to interest you in another, opposite strategy — the strategy of the «sailboat». Here, before straining, a person thinks: “So, in fact, I don’t have one goal, I have four of them in four different parts of the world. And let’s see what kind of winds are now, and what currents are today, and why should I swim against the wind and against the current, when I can go to achieve this goal today and now, without straining, under a warm breeze, and my current will bring it there. And since I know that by such and such a date the wind and current will change, I will collect all my coconuts there and sail with the wind and comfortably to another island for apricots. It is reasonable.

The only thing that not everyone always understands is that in order to build this strategy, you need to work not with your hands and shoulders, but with your head, and for a long time, carefully and seriously, collecting statistical data, finding out where are the winds and currents, how to get access to them. So it’s impossible to call this person a lazy person who relies on luck and maybe, such a thinker needs to work from morning to evening, only bothering not his ass, but his head, but you still need to work, because you are not the only one so smart. Others are also watching the currents, and the struggle for currents and winds is as competitive as any other. And the winner is the one who learns faster about new currents and more accurately learns about the new wind. So you can’t count on freebies and luck here.

If you look more broadly, then in Sinton the most popular strategy is not the «projectile» strategy and not the «sailboat» strategy, but the «rocket» strategy. In this life strategy, a person has different goals and can decide which goal is more priority. He can sometimes go ahead of her, he can sometimes stop and take a break, he can go around obstacles. At the same time, the “rocket” knows that there is a current somewhere, and if you are at the helm, the “rocket” will fly at a speed within the wind and currents and outrun all other “sailboats”.

Achievement is a great thing, and for all the respected «projectiles» who have learned only to strain themselves and close their eyes so as not to look for other options, the sailboat strategy and the Achievement strategy are a wonderful find. The ability to turn on the head in addition to the will and pressure Timur Vladimirovich teaches wonderfully. And hope for a freebie is not worth it.
