History of Xent absinthe

The drink is produced at an old distillery in the city of Moncalieri, Turin, Italy. Xentha’s absinthe draws its inspiration from the original formula developed in 1792 by Dr. Pierre Ordinaire, a French physician who immigrated to Switzerland during the French Revolution.

In 1870, Riccardo Ferrero, the founder of the distillery, reworked this formula and prepared a strong drink, the recipe of which is still kept in the strictest confidence and passed down from generation to generation.

How Xentha absinthe is made

The herbs are infused with an alcohol tincture, and demineralized water is added to the extract thus obtained to reduce the alcohol content.

Next, the mixture is carefully filtered in order to get rid of impurities. The result is an incomparable emerald green color that has an amazing transparency that is unique to Xenta.

Before bottling, absinthe is additionally infused.
