History of the King of Spirits

The company was founded in June 1994 by two entrepreneurs, Pavel Varga and Jiri Cerny, who decided to make the best spirits in the Czech Republic.

They came up with this idea after an unsuccessful attempt to do business in their own store: the men traded in high-quality imported alcohol, which was forced out of the market by cheap fakes.

Initially, the partners argued for a long time about which drinks to give preference to in production. In the end, it was decided that the company would make rum, vodka and absinthe.

The first absinthe produced by L’or special drinks was King of Spirits. It is based on the classic recipe of the end of the XNUMXth century, which was loved by the nobles of those times.

The content of thujone in the drink meets the standards of those years: in one of the varieties of King of Spirits, it is almost the same as in the old tinctures: 100 mg per 1 liter of drink. Absolutely today you will not find absinthe with such a content of thujone.

Types of Absinthe King of Spirits

The company L’or special drinks produces two types of absinthe King of Spirits. Both of them are 70% ABV.

  1. King of Spirits Original

Absinthe is a warm light yellow color. Thujone content: 10 mg per 1 liter.

The taste is delicate, full of tones of meadow and forest herbs, shades of roots and leaves, among which strokes of anise, pine needles and bitter wormwood are especially perceptible.

The fragrant bouquet of the drink combines all sorts of motifs: wormwood, anise, fennel, licorice, chamomile and fresh mint, which dominate the light alcohol smell.

  2. King of Spirits Gold

Herbal absinthe. Thujone content: 10 mg per 1 liter of alcohol.

Simultaneous astringency and sharpness of taste will not leave anyone indifferent.

It intertwined notes of anise, fennel, bitter wormwood, licorice, spirited lemon balm, refreshing mint, parsley, pine needles and chamomile.

The herbal aroma is dominated by nuances of anise and wormwood.

Absinthe King of Spirits is usually used in combination with water and sugar, which helps to get rid of excessive bitterness and contributes to the maximum disclosure of herbal taste.

Water, in turn, reduces the strength of absinthe by about 20%, making it easier to drink.
