True, it will take several months to wait for the effect. “Vitamins B5 and B7 are especially important for healthy hair growth,” says nutritionist Jackie McCusker. “They are found in legumes, cauliflower, green leafy vegetables, buckwheat, oatmeal, eggs, and organ meats.” In addition, the expert recommends taking vitamin-mineral complexes twice a year. “We drink too little,” says nutritionist Anna Belousova. – It’s not about tea and coffee, not about juices, fruit drinks and lemonade. It’s about clean water. Only she is able to cleanse the body of accumulated toxins and toxins at the cellular level. Two liters a day is not an axiom. Everyone has their own norm. It’s easy to calculate. “A kilogram of weight requires 30 ml of water per day,” says aromatherapist Rani Al-Anati. Also, keep in mind that cigarettes and caffeinated drinks dehydrate you. Therefore, each cup of tea or coffee increases our need for water by 200 ml. And it is good for smokers to drink an average of 400 ml of water per day more than non-smokers.”

“Why wash your hair every day? – Anastasia Rybakova, the stylist of the Hairdryer Dry Bar salon, is surprised. – With such frequent use, even a mild shampoo damages the lipid layer of the skin. And she defends herself in the only available way: she develops more and more secret. How to break the vicious circle? Give the skin a chance to “breathe”. For example, use dry shampoo every other day instead of the usual one (for example, Oriflame, Dove, Syoss, Lush, Toni&Guy, Kérastase have it). It absorbs excess sebum and adds volume to the hair. After a week, you will notice that the hair has ceased to become dirty so quickly. What shampoo to choose? “The best way to normalize the condition of the scalp is a mild baby shampoo with a pH of 5,5,” says Natalya Kalaus. In case of oiliness, she recommends alternating it once a week with a specialized shampoo for oily skin (for example, Opalis, Lebel, Rene Furterer, Vichy have it).

Competent care

Experts agree that we often use cosmetics incorrectly. The most common mistakes: hair poorly washed after applying shampoo, conditioner and mask, as well as busting with leave-in products. “Because of all this, the hair quickly loses volume and becomes stale,” summarizes Anastasia Rybakova. She recommends rinsing them for another minute after you feel that the shampoo or mask is no longer left on them. When it comes to leave-in products, the principle “less is better” should be followed here. “Two drops are needed only for very long curls. As a rule, one is enough. Carefully distribute the product from the middle to the ends of damp, towel-dried hair. The more uniform, the better they are protected,” says the master.

Protection

Cold wind in winter and scorching sun in summer, dry air, chlorinated pool water, hair dryer, curling iron and hot rollers – all this dehydrates hair, making it brittle and dull. However, it is quite easy to prevent their damage. Firstly, in winter and summer it is worth wearing hats. Fortunately, hats and scarves are not the first season in fashion. Secondly, before styling, it is necessary to apply an indelible serum with a thermal protection function to the strands (for example, Wella, Davines, Paul Mitchell have it). Thirdly, in spring and summer, when the sun is very active, as well as during trips to the sea, you need to use products with sun filters (Kérastase, L’Oréal Professionnel, Redken have them). They keep hair healthy and prevent color-treated hair from fading. In addition, before diving into a pool of chlorinated water, it is good to apply an oil serum (L’Huile, Opalis; Moroccanoil, Elsève L’Oréal Paris; Fructis Garnier) to the strands along the entire length. After bathing, it is important to wash your hair with a mild shampoo or, for those with dry scalp, a silicone-free conditioner (refer to the ingredient list: it should not contain words that end in “-cone”).

How to take care of your hair in spring

Pay attention to products with algae and oils. “The former quickly restore the hair structure, filling it with the necessary microelements, the latter give it shine,” says stylist Larisa Gimalieva. “Macadamia oil has proven itself well. It is rich in omega-7 polyunsaturated fatty acids. They make up the lipid layer of the hair,” adds chemist Ekaterina Ivanova, Dove brand expert.

In addition, before the holiday season, experts recommend taking a course of salon care: three to seven sessions, depending on the condition of the hair. As a finishing touch, it is good to do lamination. “It “seals” moisture and nutrients inside the hair and enhances their shine,” says Anastasia Rybakova. – But you can’t spend it before or instead of leaving. This will make your hair brittle.”
