A vegetable garden for the lazy: 13 plants that will grow on their own

We tell you what to plant on the site without spending a lot of time and effort.

My sister’s dacha is just a paradise. On six acres of what does not grow. But for the sake of all this splendor, the sister disappears in the “field work” from April to late autumn, day and night.

For those who are not ready for such feats, we learned from a specialist which plants will grow without special care.

Grows well in fertilized fertile soil. The best fertilizer is rotted manure. Plants are best placed at a distance of 70 cm from each other, and during the growth process, it is enough to loosen the soil a little (although this is not necessary). The most important thing when growing zucchini is collecting young fruits, preventing them from overgrowing. Here the principle “the more you collect, the more it grows.”

Pumpkin

For this “future carriage for Cinderella”, a fertile site is also suitable. The ideal place is an old compost pit. In the process of growth in a large-fruited pumpkin, no more than two fruits should be left, and the remaining peduncles should be removed. Also, do not forget to “pinch” the lashes after the ovary. After this formation, all nutrients will go to the development of 1-2 fruits. And this will make it possible to grow ripe fragrant pumpkin even in northern conditions.

Rhubarb and sorrel

These are perennial plants. So it is worth paying attention to pre-sowing fertilization. It is best to plant with seedlings – the seeds can be easily found in specialized stores. When choosing a place for beds for these crops, give preference to shaded areas of the garden. Also, do not allow the soil to dry out excessively. In the spring, one top dressing with manure or complex mineral fertilizer is enough, after the introduction of which the soil around it is necessary to loosen and remove rhizome weeds.

Green pea

Like most legumes, it is unpretentious in soil fertility. For this plant, the most important thing is watering in the first two to three weeks and then tying lashes. It is better to sow it several times per season – this will provide tasty fruits until the end of summer. Dessert varieties are sweeter and do not contain a film on the inside of the plate.

Radish, turnip, radish, rocket, cilantro and spinach

The ideal time to plant them is in the second half of summer, when the day becomes shorter and the amount of rainfall is sufficient to do without watering. Do not want to wait long, you can sow in early May – you will get the harvest by the beginning of summer. But in this case, it is worth using a covering non-woven material for artificial shading. This will prevent blooming and shooting. And get ready to water these beds regularly to keep the harvest juicy and sweet.

Dill

Dill is highly susceptible to fungal diseases. Choose well-lit areas for planting. And avoid thickening. To do this, when sowing bush varieties, a “social distance” of 3-5 cm between plants should be observed. In addition, watering is necessary in the first two to three weeks. In the future, the dill itself will get moisture for itself.

Parsley

This plant is referred to as tugovogo. Therefore, it is best to plant it with seedlings. Yes, you have to tinker, but in this case you will avoid looking for the first shoots among dense weeds. In addition, watering is necessary for parsley in the first two to three weeks. But in the future, this can be neglected.

Please note: for each plant from the list, one or two foliar feeding with a complex of amino acids, trace elements and humates will not be superfluous. These fertilizers are easy to find at major gardening stores.
