A third of schoolchildren believe: cheese grows on a tree

The survey, which was conducted in Britain among primary school students, puzzled psychologists. And it was from what: a third of the schoolchildren replied that cheese grows on a tree, and tomatoes – underground.

Approximately 30 schoolchildren took part in the survey. In a conversation with them, the experts wanted to find out how well the guys know the origin of certain foods that parents include in their menu.

The result of scientists was amazed: a fifth of primary school students suggested that chicken fillet serves as the basis for the preparation of crab sticks. 10% of schoolchildren said that tomatoes are harvested underground, because tomatoes grow there, like potatoes. And cheese, at least 30% of people think so, grows on a tree. And it is from there that it gets to them on the table.

After the results of the survey, scientists wondered if the life of the blue planet was in reliable hands. And can such “geniuses” become the mainstay of life on earth over the years?
