The public organization “Young Guard of United Russia” presented the family of a veteran of the Great Patriotic War with a new washer. Helping the needy and the poor is the main activity of the organization. Activists regularly visit older people and do their best to help those who need their help.
The Karachentsev family from Kaluga found themselves in a difficult situation: the hostess’ washing machine broke down and could not be repaired, so the elderly had to wash their clothes by hand, making great efforts – the activists found out during one of the meetings, which had already been quite a few. Activists of the Kaluga branch of the Young Guard organization reacted promptly and launched a fundraiser on a social network to purchase household appliances for pensioners. By the way, the money was collected literally in 1 day!
Thanks to caring people, the necessary amount for the purchase of new household appliances and a monthly supply of washing powder was collected quite quickly. Kaluga activists presented a gift to the Karachentsev family. The joy of 91-year-old Ivan Karachentsev is difficult to describe in words …
“This is just a small part of what we can do as a token of gratitude to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War,” said Dmitry Shulygin, head of the organization in Kaluga. The organization has previously helped flood-affected residents of the Irkutsk region – such young people should be proud of.
