Exercises for myopia
The first exercises for myopia were developed here in Russia. They consisted in the fact that a person who suffers from myopia had to look at a concave lens for fifteen minutes. At first the lens was weak, but every day a stronger lens is put in, as over time the eye adapts to the weaker lens. In connection with the implementation of such exercises, a person’s vision improved.
Currently, such exercises are also practiced in clinics. Plus and minus lenses are used to train the muscles of the eyes. First, reading begins with a glass of half diopter. That is, with minus glass.
Then reading with a stronger glass lasts about five minutes. Then the lens is reduced by one diopter. Each subsequent glass is left for one minute. Plus glasses are also used. During the first days, this procedure is carried out once a day, and in the following days – twice.
The amount of accommodation is determined every three days. The entire course of such treatment takes about thirty exercises. The main condition for such classes is continuous reading of the text. Well, if this text will be of interest to a person.
Exercises for self-training
Since ancient times, people have known and used such exercises for the eyes, which are based on improving blood circulation in the eyes and brain. With such exercises, tension is removed from the eyes, mental stress, wrinkles around the eyes are also smoothed out and aging is delayed.
There is also a vibratory massager that helps relieve eye strain. The muscles of the face are stimulated in the same way. A vibrotode is placed to the outer corner of the closed eye; after it is turned on, the vibrations are transmitted to the eye through the skin. At the same time, such a massage due to vibrations passes deep into the eye without injuring it. Then you need to make eye movements in different directions.
As a result, the eye muscles are stimulated. With such a massage, vision improves, the lens contracts, and fatigue decreases. This is a good exercise for the prevention of farsightedness.
There is also a technique of the famous doctor M. Corbett. The main thing here is that the muscles of the eyes relax.
This technique has several basic principles. With a strong voltage, a person’s vision deteriorates, but vision can be improved. When the eyes are tired, they stop blinking quickly and frequently. And frequent and rapid blinking is the main thing for eye health. And the longer a person wears glasses, the more the eyes get used to this way of improving vision.
And here are the recommendations for this method:
– do not read a book in bed before going to bed: you can fall asleep with a book, and eye strain will not be removed;
– do not hold a book on your chest or knees, because in this position blood circulation worsens, and breathing worsens due to compression of the larynx;
– it is necessary that the distance between the eyes and the book is constantly changing, so the muscles of the eyes will not become numb.
solarization
The sun plays an important role and how your eyes react to prolonged exposure to the sun. If your eyes are prone to rapid fatigue, then you can use the following method.
You need to stand in the shade or in the corridor – where there is a border of the fall of the sun’s rays. Try closing your eyes and rocking in such a way that your face is first in the sun and then in the shade. After several such sessions, you will feel a tonic effect.
It is good if you close your eyes to the sun when you have just left a dark place, because sharp contrasts quickly tire your eyes.
Breath
When a person does not see well, he constantly tries to see objects, thus, it turns out that he holds his breath. As a result, there is not enough oxygen in the blood, it begins to darken in the eyes.
But the eyes need oxygen and increased blood circulation.
In this regard, you need to use the technique of “long” breathing. With this technique you have to expel the air from the lungs, when your lips are tightly closed, this is done with a hiss. This technique is used for visual impairment.
Palming
Connect your fingers on the forehead, in its center. Thus, your palms will tightly cover your eyes. This will improve blood circulation in the eyes, and they will rest faster. If you do palming for at least two minutes, you will improve your eyesight.
If you do palming correctly, then the edges of the palms will touch the nose only slightly, while the thumbs should lie in the temple area.
Reading
When you read, your eyes do a great job. Your gaze moves along the line not smoothly, but in jumps. Then the gaze stops. When jumping, the eye does not have time to distinguish the text, but recognizes it only when it stops.
If your eyes are tired, then you stop reading, change your position more often, move the text closer to your eyes. Very bad for the eyes if you read poorly lit or fuzzy text.
Children who do not develop their spatial-visual activity bow their heads low.
It is impossible to read lying down, since in this position it is difficult to provide good lighting. Do not read in transport, there is also poor lighting, and constant vibrations change the distance from the book to your eyes, which makes your eyes tired quickly. Never read while walking.
visual comfort
Artificial lighting was created in order to extend a person’s daylight hours and provide him with the opportunity to continue his work activity in the evening. But it should be remembered that the best artificial lighting is the one that is closest to natural, that is, to solar radiation.
There are warm colors – they include yellow, red, orange – and cold colors: purple, blue, blue. It is believed that green has a calming effect, since green is the color of all the plants around us.
In our time, fluorescent lamps are widely used. They are very different from incandescent bulbs. The good thing is that they are close to the solar spectrum. However, the ideal is still very far away. In order to adjust the spectrum of the lamp, colored reflectors must be used.
TVs, monitors
Currently, televisions and computers are very common in human life. However, if the rules of ergonomics are not properly observed, symptoms of fatigue and eye strain occur. These factors include decreased visual acuity, fatigue, pain in the eyes, headaches.
All these symptoms reduce a person’s productivity.
Maybe not all people are faced with a computer, but now the TV has long been a dense part of our lives. From the TV, the eyes quickly get tired and tired. In order to avoid this, many methods are used: turn on the light, use a special protective film on the TV screen, and much more.
To reduce fatigue, use an edging matte color light frame. Also paint the wall the screen is facing blue. And other walls should be light colors. There are a few tips to help you reduce eye strain when working with a computer:
1) evening lighting of the office – blue shades, the brightness is approximately the same as that of the display; 2) every 30-45 minutes to carry out exercises for the eyes.

It turned out that white and red “flare” can greatly enhance night vision. And red is considered more effective.

In order to restore vision faster, it is necessary to “light up” the eye with blue light after blinding; – in the case of reading small icons, the light should fall only on the work surface; – To increase the sensitivity of vision, take ten deep breaths.
Vision and sports
If you or your child suffers from myopia, then you should consider all contraindications when playing sports, especially with heavy loads, as this can greatly harm your vision.

This is a special class of devices of technology, thanks to which you can train your eyes to restore vision. This technique is especially useful for children.
This technique has already been described above. That is, a lens is installed between the text for reading and the eyes, which makes it easier or harder to read.
