A selection of original Star Wars cocktails

On May XNUMXth, fans of the saga around the world celebrate Star Wars Day. And, although alcohol was almost never drunk in the films themselves, this does not prevent fans from sipping a glass or two of Qui-Gon Gin Tonic, Tatooine Sunrise, Dry Palpatini or Green Rodian on their own holiday. Meet these and other cocktails in our thematic selection!

“May the fourth be with you” are words that every true fan of the Star Wars saga knows. This is an altered phrase “May the Force be with you”, “may the Force be with you”, in a new version – “May 4 will be with you”. It is on this day that stargazers gather to arrange colorful masquerades, discuss their favorite moments from films, chat about this and that and, of course, drink a couple of themed cocktails. Learn more about them today!

Which side of the force will you choose?

What weapon are you going to defend your views – ruby red or sky blue, like the eyes of Skywalker Jr.? The first two cocktails are dedicated to the legendary weapons of the Jedi and Sith – lightsabers.

The light side of the Force

  • 30 ml Malibu liqueur
  • 30 ml BACARDI Pineapple Fusion pineapple rum
  • 15 ml Blue Curacao
  • Sprite – optional

Mix all alcoholic ingredients in a shaker with ice, strain into a tall glass, top up with sprite. A few glasses of this drink gives more strength than a week of diligent meditation!

The dark side of the Force

  • 30 мл Black Cherry Rum («Cruzan»)
  • 30 мл ликёра DeKuyper «Cherry Pucker»
  • 15 ml Grenadine
  • 15 ml vanilla rum
  • Sprite – optional

The drink is prepared in the same way as the previous one. And it is customary to eat it with Jedi cut into cutlets!

Choose a planet!

The worlds of Star Wars are colorful and varied. It is not surprising that such a palette gave a huge scope for the imagination of mixologists! Want to know what they drink on Tatooine, Endor or Mustafar? Read this section!

Tatooine Sunrise

Tatooine Dawn – a cocktail from the homeland of Luke and Anakin Skywalker, yellow as the desert itself!

  • 30 ml Parrot Bay Coconut Rum
  • 30 ml Midori liqueur
  • 30 ml of pineapple juice
  • 30 ml orange juice

Mix the ingredients in a shaker with ice, strain into a tall glass.

Mustafar Night

The Night on Mustafar cocktail is dedicated to the red planet, where the last dramatic duel between Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi took place (“you were my friend” – that’s all).

  • 30 ml orange vodka
  • 30 ml Chambord liqueur
  • 30 ml cranberry juice
  • dash of lemon juice

Ideally, this cocktail can be decorated with an ice cube in the shape of a death star, but it is not so easy to find the appropriate molds, so a cocktail cherry, for example, can symbolize the space station.

And drinking Star Wars liquors would be ideologically from such beautiful glasses!

Endor Morning

Endor Morning is said to be the favorite drink of the Ewoks, the inhabitants of the green planet Endor. However, I think representatives of more developed civilizations will also like the cocktail.

  • 30 ml midori liqueur
  • 30 ml DeKuyper apple liqueur
  • 15 ml Blue Curacao
  • dash of lime juice

Alderaan Sunset

The bluest planet of the Alderaan system, as you know, was destroyed by the Death Star, so the “Alderaan Sunset” – the dawn will not come immediately. A drink with a bitter taste of the forever lost Motherland – almost like that of the White Guard emigrants.

  • 30 ml BACARDI Black Razz rum
  • 30 ml Blue Curacao
  • dash of cranberry juice

Choose a character!

We are approaching the most interesting – cocktails dedicated to specific characters of the saga – good, evil, in general – for every taste!

“Black Lord”

A variation of the “Black Russian”, only even blacker – in honor of the unforgettable dark lord Vader!

  • 70 ml BlaVod black vodka
  • 30 ml Kahlua

Prepared using the build method, served in an old-fashioned glass. Under such a cocktail, a special toast is pronounced – “Luke, I am your father, drink with a folder!”

“Qui Gon Gin Tonic”

Obi-Wan’s teacher Qui-Gon Jin was indeed no fool for drinking. Naturally – how to remain a teetotaler with such a surname?

  • 50 ml Bombay Sapphire gin
  • 100 ml tonic
  • 20 ml Blue Curacao

Cool the tall glass, pour in the gin, liqueur and tonic, fill the remaining space with ice and mix gently. Garnish with a sprig of basil.

“Vanilla Skywalker”

Dedicated to Anakin in the second episode, with all these “We have no right to love each other.” You drink a light milkshake with vanilla liqueur and whipped cream – and you really seem to be “walking on clouds”.

  • 180 ml full fat milk
  • 2 tbsp. l. creamy ice cream
  • 30 ml vanilla liqueur
  • whipped cream

Milk, slightly melted ice cream, vanilla liqueur are poured into a blender, mix everything, pour into a tall glass and garnish with whipped cream.

“Dry Palpatini”

A version of the legendary Dry Martini, created in honor of Senator Palpatine – part-time Sith Lord. Naturally, with the blackest ingredients.

  • 30 ml of gin
  • 30 ml black vodka
  • 10 ml Nocino liqueur
  • Black olives – for garnish

Pre-cool the martinka, insert a bar spoon into the shaker, fill it completely with ice, pour in Nocino, gin and vodka, mix in three circular motions. Strain through a strainer into a glass, serve with three olives on a skewer or an orange twist.

“Green Rodian”

  • 25 ml Pisan Ambon liqueur
  • 25 ml Silver tequila
  • 10 ml lime fresh

Pour liquor into a shooter glass, layer juice on top of it, and the third layer – tequila. Drink in one gulp, remembering with an unkind word Han Sol, who killed the most famous Rodian – the mercenary Greedo.

“Severed Darth Maul”

Obi-Wan on Naboo cut the cute Darth Maul in half, and now you are invited to collect him in a beautiful red and black layered cocktail.

  • 15 ml dark rum
  • 15 ml of Rossi vermouth
  • 20 ml strawberry syrup

Dip a shooter glass in strawberry syrup and make a sugar crunch. Mix rum and vermouth in a shaker. Put a little crushed ice on the bottom of the stack, pour the syrup, layer the rum-vermouth mixture on top. Garnish with a cocktail cherry or olive.

“Buba Libre”

The cocktail is named after Buba Fett, the son of the same mercenary from whom the clone troopers were copied. It is being prepared in exactly the same way as Cuba Libre, only with hatred not for American globalists, but for the Jedi and especially Maines Windu.

  • 120 ml Coca-Cola
  • 50 ml light rum
  • 10 ml lime fresh

Insert a cocktail spoon into the highball and fill it to the top with ice. Add rum, fresh juice and cola, mix, remove the spoon. Garnish with a lime wedge.

That, perhaps, is all. Do not forget that true Jedi never leaned on alcohol, and the Sith did not differ in this (when they say that the Sith elevate everything to the “Absolute”, they clearly do not mean vodka). Remember moderation even on a holiday – and may the force be with you!
