Only herd immunity will save us – experts emphasize and encourage Poles to vaccinate against COVID-19. Almost 17 million have listened and are fully vaccinated. There is still a long way to go to stop the fourth wave. We checked the situation with vaccinations in several places in Poland and whether the reluctance to take the COVID-19 preparation may be to blame by the anti-vaccine agents.

17 million Poles are fully vaccinated. What about herd immunity?
Doctors appeal: “only population immunity will win the pandemic”. According to experts, in order to achieve population immunity and extinguish the epidemic, 40 to 70 percent should be vaccinated. Poles, i.e. between 15 and 26 million. According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, 33 treatments were performed in Poland. vaccinations. Close to 770 million are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. One dose was taken by over 17 million Poles.
There are no people willing to vaccinate in the commune
We checked what the situation looks like where people who are willing to be vaccinated against COVID-19 are “like a cure”.
Podlaskie voivodeship, Hajnówka commune: employees of one of the vaccination centers say that there was an interest in vaccinations at their point, but now they send them to the hospital. Why? There are too few willing to act as a vaccination point. And the anti-vaccines? “Whoever is willing comes to us, and whoever does not, does not come, does not bother” – we hear at a point in Podlasie.

We also contacted the vaccination center at the pharmacy in Strzelce Opolskie. There are also no vaccinations. The point is just taking off and so far the interest in it is negligible.

In turn, in the Podkarpackie Province, in the Bukowsko commune in Nowotaniec, we heard: – There is one person who loudly spreads his anti-vaccine views, but does not come to our point. We also learned that there are no people willing to vaccinate in the commune. The clinic will suspend the vaccinations soon.
In a few cases we have heard that vaccinations have taken place at certain points, but that is a thing of the past due to a lack of interest. This means that the official map of the Ministry of Health vaccination points is out of date.

In the Podlaskie, Podkarpackie and Opolskie voivodships, no incidents with anti-vaccines in the main role were recorded. It turns out, however, that interest in vaccinations is declining, further vaccination points are holding back the activity, although according to experts, still too few Poles are vaccinated against COVID-19.

Vaccinations against COVID-19 and anti-vaccines
Even though many people chose to get vaccinated, the voices of the anti-vaccine vaccinees persist. They are very active within the organization «Polish Yellow Vests». They organize “vaccination anti-picnics” at which they discourage vaccination. On the profile of the organization, anti-vaccines comment: “It is terrible that people get vaccinated so that they can go on vacation and vaccinate their children so as not to pay for tests”; «They took money for this to implant children in the experiment. And because of this the people quarrel ”.

The lack of incidents at individual vaccination points does not mean, however, that there is a shortage of anti-vaccine agents.
