A unique rotating X-ray machine has just been installed at FMC Centrum Medyczne at ul. Copernicus in Łódź. Rotary X-ray machine revolutionizes X-ray examinations and supports patients who need an individual diagnostic approach. The device has extensive diagnostic possibilities.
Located at 48/50 Kopernika Street, the modern building will be equipped with the most modern equipment for diagnostic imaging. One of such devices is the fully digital New Oriental 1000CE X-ray machine by WDM, installed for the first time in Poland.
WDM (Beijing Wandong Medical Technology Co., Ltd) is a manufacturer of imaging diagnostic equipment whose technological potential is truly admirable. In gigantic production plants in Beijing and Shanghai, over 8,5 thousand jobs are created. medical devices exported to over 70 countries around the world. The total number of installed equipment manufactured by WDM has already exceeded 100. Among these devices are modern X-ray machines, angiographic systems, tomographs and magnetic resonance system.
The New Oriental 1000CE device installed at the FMC clinic belongs to the family of modern digital bone-pulmonary devices. The model marked with the designation 1000CE is the so-called “U arm”. In such a device, the X-ray tube and the detector are placed on one rotating arm, the solid structure of which adjusts itself depending on the type of examination. The system will enable tests of unparalleled diagnostic value.
The lowest radiation dose and image quality are ensured by, among others modern digital detector manufactured by the American company Varian. The detector has a large detection area of 43 cm x 43 cm, which exceeds the X-ray cassette-sized detectors commonly used in Poland and is particularly important in chest examinations.
The image quality is already impressive on the screen of the technician’s console, as it is equipped with a medical monochrome monitor. In orthopedic examinations, photos show details of even the smallest bone structures. The examination itself can be recorded on a CD directly next to the device. In addition to the photos, the disc will include viewing software that can be run on any computer. Patients can perform any type of radiographic examination on this compact device, in compliance with all standards and reference procedures in force in our country.
Performing tests is quick, comfortable and extremely effective. The New Oriental 1000CE is fully motorized. The technician can forget about laboriously adjusting the camera to the desired position. The camera has a very large, colorful and tactile control console. On this console, over a dozen of the most popular items are displayed in the form of legible graphic icons. Selecting one of them results in smooth, motorized movement and quick adjustment of the camera to the selected projection. For ease of use, the technician also has buttons for two basic positions – horizontal and vertical. On the touch console, you can also select all examination parameters and one of the huge number of anatomical programs stored in the device. The technician also has the so-called tutorial – the console screen displays a graphic reminding you how to properly position the part of the body being tested. In addition, after taking a photo, it is immediately visible on the console screen in the form of a thumbnail, as well as on the screen of the medical monitor in the control room.
In the horizontal position, the patient has an extremely durable mobile bed at his disposal, which will allow the examination of patients weighing up to 200 kg.
The camera software is entirely produced by the WDM company. For the needs of the installation in Łódź, the manufacturer provided the Polish version of the software. The entire line of WDM products received the prestigious award for design and design – the Red Dot Award.
