Their observations show that it can reduce the number of airborne microorganisms in a given room by as much as 98% in less than five minutes. It is enough to mount such air-purifying lighting on the ceiling. According to the researchers, this is a simple solution that can help prevent the transmission of diseases such as COVID-19 or the flu.
