A press of a bar sitting wide grip — technique exercises:

  1. Sit on a bench with a back. Install the rod in the racks just above head level. Grasp the bar wide grip. The wider your grip, the more load will cover the Delta and not the triceps.
  2. Remove the bar from the racks and lower to the chin level. This will be your initial position. It is important not to lower the bar too low.
  3. Slowly raise the barbell over your head.
