A popular syrup for children withdrawn from the market

The Main Pharmaceutical Inspector announced that a batch of the popular drug Pediprofen was withdrawn from sale. It is a suspension with analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory properties for children from 6 months to 11 years of age.

The Main Pharmaceutical Inspector decided to withdraw from the national market a batch of Pediprofen (ibuprofenum), 20 mg / ml, oral suspension, 1 bottle of 100 ml, batch number: J01 and expiry date: 12.2018.

The entity responsible is Sequoia Sp. z o. o. The decision was made immediately enforceable. The reason for the decision was the determination of the above series of microbial contamination.

Pediprofen is a pain and fever reliever medicine that belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Pediprofen is used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain symptoms, e.g. toothache, headache, fever.
