The Main Pharmaceutical Inspectorate withdrew from the market a series of coated tablets used in the treatment of recurrent herpes. It is the popular drug Heviran RX, available on prescription.
By the decision of GIF, a series of tablets will disappear from pharmacy shelves all over Poland antiviral drug Heviran (Aciclovirum), 400 mg. It will be withdrawn from pharmacies series 10522 with the expiry date of 05.2025 produced by Zakłady Farmaceutyczne POLPHARMA Spółka Akcyjna with its seat in Starogard Gdański.

The reason for the recall from the market is a quality defect consisting in placing the wrong package insert with guidelines for use.
«The Main Pharmaceutical Inspectorate received information indicating the speech a quality defect concerning the placement of Heviran 400 mg, film-coated tablets in the packaging, information printing (package leaflets) in Lithuanian for Furosemide Polpharma 40 mg tablets. The information was analyzed and confirmed by the Provincial Pharmaceutical Inspector in Kielce and by the responsible entity.
