These are neither British nor Indian strains, he said, adding that scientists are studying the properties of these viruses in detail, especially resistance to vaccines currently in use.
“We think the vaccine will be effective, but we have to wait for the test results,” said Gintsburg.
Earlier, the deputy director of the Gamaley Center, Denis Logunov, said that new strains of the coronavirus were located primarily in Moscow. Not all of them were considered dangerous.
The number of COVID-19 cases in Our Country has been increasing since mid-May. Especially in the capital of the country. On Sunday, 7 were reported in Moscow. 704 new cases of coronavirus – that’s almost half of all infections in the country that day (14) and the highest number since December 723.

A peer-reviewed study published in The Lancet in January found that Sputnik V has 91,6 percent. effectiveness against coronavirus.
