A luxury toast to help the hospitality industry
Mar de Frades (DO Rías Baixas) joins the Rioja winery Ramón Bilbao (DOCa Rioja) in support of one of the sectors most affected in the COVID-19 crisis, the hospitality industry.
Both wineries that belong to the family business Zamora Company, join forces in order to help the owners and professionals of the bars and restaurants to face this temporary stop. Thus, they estimate that they will deliver 45.000 bottles to your hospitality customers.
A toast at home to contribute
From both wineries, they invite consumers to “Toast today at home to toast tomorrow in bars”. For each bottle of wine that is purchased in the winery’s online store, throughout this 2020, a bottle will be delivered at no cost to the hospitality sector. A formula to support the hospitality industry based on solidarity between channels.
“The idea is to help the hospitality channel through the online sales channel and thus create synergies to be able to support one of the most disadvantaged sectors, the hospitality industry,” he says. Rodolfo Bastida, Ramón Bilbao’s winemaker. For its part, Paula Fandiño, winemaker at Mar de Frades, adds that “Our goal is to contribute our bit through an alternative channel to help them return to the new normal.”
The current situation has led the consumer to tangibly modify the methods of purchase and the moments and places of consumption. For this reason, these emblematic wineries invite lovers of good wine to continue enjoying their best creations, without leaving home and supporting the near future of hospitality establishments with this new consumption formula.
In this exceptional situation, the company has launched the € 400.000 donation to different associations that work proactively in support of the most disadvantaged groups in society. The company will make this financial contribution to entities with social purposes such as the Red Cross, Cáritas or the Banco de Alimentos Foundation, among others, with which it has already collaborated on previous occasions.
