A Hospice and Rehabilitation Center will be established in Radom. The assumptions of the investment were presented to journalists by the Radom Association of Padre Pio. The estimated cost of the project is PLN 35 million.
The project provides for the construction of a multi-storey building with a modern architectural form. It is to include, among others stationary hospice for 16 people and rooms for home hospice for children and adults. There will also be a separate section for people staying in the center as part of the so-called day stay. On one of the floors there will be a rehabilitation part.
After building the facility, the association would like to help around 100 people.
President of the Association Padre Pio Jadwiga Panek-Lenartowicz announced that in order to implement the investment, the association will apply for EU funds.
We also count on the support of provincial and municipal authorities, sponsors and all residents of Radom and the surrounding area – emphasized the head of the association. She added that the activity of the hospice can also be supported by a 1 percent write-off. tax.
The hospice is to be built on a plot of over 4 sq m. sq m. The city sold the property to the association for 1 percent. its values. The plot is located near the Radom hospital in Józefów. The members of the association hope that thanks to this location, doctors from Radom will join the hospice.
Currently, the Association of Padre Pio runs a home hospice for children. He cares for 27 people with cancer, genetic and metabolic diseases. (PAP)
