Premature babies are subject to many risks. Not all of them survive, or at least catch up in the development of their peers. But the story we want to share proves that there is a miracle.

Fetal prematurity is perhaps one of the main problems of modern obstetrics. And although doctors have learned to support the vital activity of even very tiny babies who were born before the beginning of the third trimester, this state of affairs greatly affects the future development of the child.
Premature babies are born with a whole range of problems – after all, their body has simply not yet found all the possibilities for normal life.
There are several types of prematurity. And the extreme degree is considered when the birth occurred before the 28th week of pregnancy. Of course, there are cases when doctors saved babies even at the 22nd week, but this happens extremely rarely – and it is not a fact that it does not entail serious complications.
Some time ago, in one of the hospitals in the British Hertfordshire, a girl was rescued, who was born in the 27th week of the term. This already difficult situation was complicated by the fact that from about the 20th week of pregnancy, the baby did not receive all the necessary substances – after all, her mother was diagnosed with placental insufficiency (a condition caused by changes in the structure and function of the placenta, as a result of which fetal growth retardation may occur – approx. Healthy Food Near Me).
The girl was born by emergency caesarean section. Its weight did not even reach half a kilogram.
Parents named their daughter Orloi-May. While she is still in the neonatology department, in a special box that ensures her life. But in the beginning, even the special equipment was powerless – and the doctors prepared the family for the terrible.
To provide the baby with the most comfortable environment, similar to the mother’s womb, the doctors came to the decision to wrap her up in … a plastic bag! It was he, in contrast to the insulator boxes, that retained the maximum heat and helped to eliminate the critical condition of the newborn. Agree, such a decision looks extremely unusual – and even doubtful. But it works! I wonder if British doctors have used such a resuscitation technique before?
Today, Orla-May is still under the supervision of specialists who control the development of her organs. And mainly – the lungs, without the full functioning of which the baby will not be able to leave the boundaries of neonatology. But in general, doctors’ predictions already exclude all negative outcomes. Orly-May’s parents are happy: after all, they could not conceive a child for several years and were already preparing for the IVF procedure, without even knowing what difficulties the birth of their first child would turn out to be. We wish the whole family good health!
