While we read books and attend training sessions on how to stop running and find peace, the inhabitants of the Belarusian city of Slutsk demonstrate enviable stress resistance.
In the Belarusian Slutsk, vegetation caught fire in the floodplain of the Sluch River. The fire quickly spread through last year’s dry grass, and local residents called the fire brigade. However, the puffs of smoke and burning did not frighten the local fishermen, who, obviously, were biting.
The video shows one of them. The man calmly continues to fish, while a fire is burning literally behind him.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations and the editors strongly do not recommend repeating the actions of the Slutsk fishermen. However, we can look at their poise, peace of mind and purposefulness, and in especially hectic days, imagine ourselves as one of them.
Every day we spend our energy and emotions reacting to traffic situations, arguments with colleagues, unfair remarks from the management, two of our children and grumbling partners …
As a rule, most of these moments pass and are forgotten, not particularly affecting our lives. But it is not easy to replenish internal resources, to regain balance after experiences and breakdowns. But in the end, that’s what we need the most. For us and for our loved ones.
So as soon as we feel that emotions are running high, there are a lot of things to do, deadlines are burning and there is a lot of fuss around – let’s remember the hero of this video. I/We are Belarusian fishermen!
