A drink that conquers ladies: I tell you how to make a chocolate liqueur similar to Sheridan’s store for 2800 rubles

I got into a slightly ambiguous situation. My girlfriend has a birthday soon, a small anniversary. I thought about giving her some of the classic gifts – perfume, flowers, jewelry. But her friends pounced on me with reproaches, they say they are tired of their banality, surprise her at last.

And they gave me the idea. My girlfriend is crazy about chocolate, whiskey and liquor. And I was advised to please her taste buds.

Why I decided to make alcohol myself

Initially, I wanted to buy some imported expensive chocolate and Sheridan’s (Sheridans). This is a delicious coffee liqueur, and the design of its bottle is extraordinary, festive. I began to look after it in stores, the price is very immodest – in the range of 2700-2800 rubles per liter.

The same Sheridan’s (Sheridans), 0,5 liters of which regularly visit our house.

And then I thought – if I really want to please and surprise a girl, why not make her a gift with my own hands? And I decided to make her chocolate liqueur myself. It will take a lot of time to make it, but financial investments are many times less.

The advantage of self-prepared alcohol is the confidence that only high-quality components are used in the composition. And if it is planned as a gift, then the birthday boy will be much more pleasant. After all, he will receive an exclusive present, and not one that can be bought in any store.

What ingredients are required

I learned the recipe for chocolate liqueur from a long-time lover of preparing alcoholic drinks on my own. The simplest ingredients are:

  • dark chocolate “Korkunov” – 200 grams (160 rubles for 2 bars);
  • vodka “Green Mark” – 1,5 liters (spent 260 rubles for a bottle of 0,5 liters and 480 for a liter);
  • a pinch of vanillin (I bought a bag for 5 rubles);
  • milk “Korovka from Korenovka” – 400 milliliters (I took a liter package in “Magnit” for 45 rubles);
  • granulated sugar – 1 kilogram (42 rubles);
  • filtered water – 300 milliliters.

For the preparation of chocolate liqueur, I was strongly advised to use exclusively this chocolate.

In total, he spent only 2 rubles on the purchase of ingredients for chocolate liqueur (about 987 liters in volume). For store Sheridan’s (Sheridans) I would give 2 thousand more.

Don’t spend a lot of money on something you can make yourself! Especially when it comes to alcohol. And the money saved will make it possible to purchase something really necessary and valuable.

The cooking process

The home alcohol guru warned me that the chocolate liqueur would take a month to make. Therefore, I immediately set about creating my masterpiece!

First, I chopped the chocolate on a fine grater, poured it with vodka and added a pinch of vanillin. Tightly closed the jar and put it on the balcony to infuse for a week. But 3-4 times daily thoroughly mixed the chocolate tincture. It is important!

The next step is to prepare the syrup. He poured milk into the pan, added granulated sugar and water. Wait until the sugar is completely dissolved, then bring to a boil. Removed from heat, cooled, poured into a container with tincture. I put it back on the balcony for 2 weeks, also stirring the mixture daily. Filtered and again insisted for a week.

The finished syrup should look like this! Until it reaches a similar consistency, you can not add it to the chocolate tincture.

I did not have the opportunity to infuse the liquor for longer, because almost every day I met my woman’s holiday. But I was advised – the longer the liquor is left to infuse after filtering, the more saturated it will be.

What result did I get

The recipe for making chocolate liqueur is elementary. No complex, expensive ingredients are required and it is quite possible to do without, for example, a moonshine still. However, I was still very worried about the end result. And in vain!

My liqueur tasted amazing. Vodka makes it as strong as possible, but in the trio with chocolate and milk syrup, it is the taste of alcohol that is not felt. The aroma is alluring, reminiscent of the same Sheridan’s (Sheridans). The color of melted dark chocolate.

This is the kind of liqueur I got! For greater effect, I decorated the glasses with whipped cream before serving.

He poured his works into a beautiful bottle and gave it to his woman on X day. Like any girl, she was delighted with a chocolate gift. The truth still does not believe that I cooked it with my own hands!
