PSYchology

A cup of coffee during difficult negotiations improves rapport between women… and increases tension between men.

This conclusion was made by psychologists at the University of Bristol (Great Britain). “Women are more likely to respond to stress by joining forces with others, while men are more prone to decisive individual action,” says one of the authors of the study, Lindsay St. Claire (Lindsay St. Claire). “The use of caffeine only enhances this effect.” As a result, it becomes easier for women than for men to solve tasks that require joint action. For men, it is better to choose decaffeinated drinks for negotiations.
