Kebabs, that specialty of middle eastern fast food, seem to have settled in our gastronomic culture and today all European countries have countless establishments where you can taste these dishes. Although generally very inexpensive, a London establishment has decided to offer a luxury variant of this popular recipe with a six-course tasting menu at £ 60. 70 euros.

There is no doubt that luxury does not understand sectors. At least, that’s what the people in charge of Kebab Queen think, a secret kebab “snack-bar” where only 10 people can enter and which is strategically located in the basement of Bab House, and Covent Garden.

Chefs Manu Canales, Stephen Tozer and Ed Brunet host Le Bab and Maison Bab. The Spanish Channels in particular is the architect of this original idea that has become a gastronomic experience that has generated some controversy. “I grew up in Aragon surrounded by nature, learning its incredible products. I graduated in biology, but I swapped my lab coat for an apron. I continued to gain a solid foundation in the classics of Le Gavroche, where I worked from Commis Chef to Sous Chef, before founding Le Bab with Stephen & Ed. Kebab Queen is a very special project for us. It gives a surprisingly large gastronomic scope. Our goal is to explore and execute that at the highest level, ”says the chef on the website of the new Kebab Queen.

Three nights a week, from Thursday to Saturday, at exactly 19:30 p.m., only ten diners take a seat at the counter Kebab Queen, the restaurant hidden within another restaurant, in the purest clandestine style.

A special place

He ‘Doner Risotto‘has become the star dish of this luxury kebab. It is a very well cooked risotto of arrozone vialone nano (one of the most versatile Italian rices) served with onions mixed with sumac, pickled cucumber and hints of garlic with chili and chili sauce.
