9 signs of good health
Urinating is good for your health!
These are the kidneys that filter the blood and ensure the production of urine. Through the urinary tract, part of the body’s waste (= toxins) are eliminated. The process is simple: the blood is filtered in order to extract the toxins which will then be eliminated in the urine. In addition, the water evacuated in the urine also helps to regulate blood pressure.
The act of urinating helps empty the bladder when it is full. There are cases of acute retention of urine, this is manifested by an inability to urinate even if the urge is there. Pain in the lower abdomen is felt. This impossibility can have different causes, in men for example it can be due to an enlarged prostate (= increase in the volume of the prostate).
Usually urine is yellow in color. The yellow of urine is obtained by urea which is formed during the breakdown of red hemoglobin. But it can happen, during the same day, that the color of the urine changes, because of certain food colors or certain foods such as beets. Taking medication, consuming a lot of water or having anemia are factors that also affect the color of the urine.
Urine should also be monitored as it is an indicator of possible urinary tract disorders. The blood in the urine (hematuria) would reveal different pathologies depending on its position, thus we note: – An initial hematuria: it is the presence of visible blood (red urine) at the start of urination, the blood would come from the prostate – Terminal hematuria: it is the presence of blood visible at the end of urination, the blood would come from the bladder – Total hematuria: it is the presence of blood visible throughout urination, the blood would come from the kidneys. More difficult to hold back than bowel movements, the urination that follows the urge to urinate occurs almost instantly. In any case, if you notice the presence of drops of blood or red coloring in the urine, do not hesitate to go to your doctor. |
