Weisgauf dishwashers sold on the Russian market are made in Turkey. Knowing how Weissgauff dishwasher errors are indicated and deciphered, users will be able to solve many problems on their own.
How are Weisgauf fault codes deciphered?
Thanks to the self-diagnosis function, the user can not only determine the causes of damage to the dishwasher (PMM), but also eliminate them on their own.
If there is a problem with the dishwasher, an alphanumeric combination will appear on the display screen. The user, having looked in the instructions – what this code means, will receive further guidance on what to do.
Having found out what this or that code means, the owner of the machine decides:
- Fix the damage yourself. If there is an explanation of how to fix the breakdown with your own hands, you can try to do without calling the wizard. This is especially beneficial in the post-warranty period, when you have to pay for inviting a specialist.
- Contact the service. There are malfunctions that under no circumstances should be corrected on your own. If the instructions say – contact the service, then this is the only correct step.
Fault codes and their meaning:
- F1. An audible signal is activated to warn the user of overflowing water. It is necessary to immediately turn off the dishwasher and turn off the water supply. The next step is to contact the service.
- F2. Dirty water is not drained from the device. The reason is a clogged filter or drain hose. The solution is to turn off the device and cancel the program. If the error repeats, you will have to contact specialists.
- F3. Water is supplied continuously. It is necessary to turn off the water supply and contact the specialists.
- F5. Bad water supply. Check for leaks. After shutting off the water supply and disconnecting the water supply hose, clean the filters. The machine then needs a reboot. If F5 reappears, you can’t figure it out without specialists.
All of the following problems exclude self-repair, the problem is solved through a service center:
- F6. The heating element sensor is broken.
- F7. The temperature inside the machine is unacceptably high.
- F8. Heating element error.
- F8. Incorrect position of the divider.
- FE. Faulty electronic circuits.
How to restart PMM?
To restart the machine and reset the errors, you need to turn it off – unplug it from the mains for 20 minutes. During this time, the control module will reset the settings and restart.
The second reboot option is to hold the “Shutdown” button for 10-15 seconds. Both of these methods are suitable for dishwashers of any brand – manufacturers strive to unify the technique so as not to create additional problems for consumers.
Weissgauff dishwasher repair
After deciphering the error codes, the user can return the PMM for repair. If possible, you can try to troubleshoot yourself.

Trouble-shooting
Before troubleshooting, please refer to the manual. Understand what to do in each case, and only then act.
PMM does not wash dishes well
The main user requirement for a dishwasher is high-quality dishwashing. Therefore, one cannot put up with the shortcomings of washing – you can always find the origins of the problem and eliminate them.
Due to violations of the operating rules and various malfunctions, the following may remain on the surface of products washed in the PMM:
- cloudy film;
- white bloom;
- rainbow stains;
- pieces of food.
Causes of poor washing and their elimination:
- The machine is installed incorrectly – perhaps it is pushed too tightly against the wall, and the drain hose is kinked.
- The water hardness control unit is broken. It is better to entrust such a breakdown to the service master – he will replace the broken node.
- If there is cloudiness on the dishes, then there is a lot of rinse aid, if there are drips, then there is not enough rinse aid. Adjust the amount.
- Clean the filters after each wash – they are located at the bottom of the working compartment. To do this, stop the water supply. Turn on the power supply, disconnect the hose from the valve, through which water is supplied to the device. Drain the water into the basin by lowering the end of the hose there. Inspect the intake filter by carefully prying it out with pliers. After washing the filter, insert it back into the inlet pipe.
- Utensils placed incorrectly. For example, cups are placed upside down or laid horizontally. Washing and overloading the chamber negatively affects – follow the loading norms for your model.
- The rotation of the impeller is blocked by the cutlery.
- There is no detergent or the lid of the tray is blocked by incorrectly placed utensils.
- The impeller nozzles are clogged. It is enough to clean them by removing and rinsing under running water.
- Wrong program selected – just change the mode of operation. For example, the water temperature is set too high or too low, or the mode is too delicate.
- If too much foam appears during washing, the rinse aid dispenser must be adjusted.
Divorces and streaks are often provoked by the use of tablets of the “all in one” type. They reduce the consumption of salt and rinse aid, simplify operation, but may impair the quality of the wash.
PMM hung
It happens that the device stops during washing – it freezes. No need to panic. Better try to understand why the stop occurred, and you may be able to correct the situation without calling the wizard.
What to do if the machine stops depends on the reason for its freezing:
- Inspect the drain hose and filter, if there is a blockage, clean it.
- If the pumping pump is broken, it will need to be repaired or replaced.
- If the freeze occurred at the start, most likely, the heating element “flew”. The only way out is replacement.
- If the electronic control unit is broken or its factory settings are lost, you will have to reprogram it or replace it with a new one, in any case, you need the help of a specialist.
Knocks out the automatic RCD
If the machine knocks out the machine or shocks:
- Power button defective. Maybe her contacts are oxidized. Will have to change it.
- Liquid has entered the control box.
- Faulty heating element – due to exposure to high temperatures and cleaning agents.
- The mains filter is broken – it is sensitive to power surges in the network.
- The total load on the wiring is too large. Or the electrical outlet is defective. Check the outlet by plugging in an electrical appliance.
Whatever the reason for knocking out the machine, immediately turn off the PMM, remove the plug from the socket and turn off the water supply tap. Next, you need the help of a specialist.
Water is leaking
If the device leaks, first turn it off and be sure to remove the plug from the outlet. There are many reasons for leaks:
- Cracked rubber hose. Or it is loosely attached.
- The leak is due to a skewed door.
- The water level sensor is out of order or the hose leading to it is clogged.
- The door is leaking – due to contamination of the seal with grease. Solution – clean the seal, if it is badly damaged, you will have to replace it with a new one.
- Crack in the tank.
- Drain pipe clogged.
In almost every of these cases, in addition to cleaning the seal, it is better to contact the master.
Jammed door
If the door cannot be closed before washing or it does not open after it, the problem is solved in the following ways:
- The lock on the door is broken or out of place. The solution is to fix the locking mechanism or completely replace it.
- Removed seal. The sealing line needs to be changed.
- The door warped. This can happen due to careless use or childish pranks. The solution is to level the door.
- The WEISSGAUFF system is out of order – due to a breakdown of the programmer, the lock does not snap into place or the lock is not removed.
What breakdowns can be repaired by yourself?
Typical situations in which the user can fix the problem himself:
The machine makes strange sounds. Stop the process. Check that the utensils are correctly positioned – objects should not touch the impeller and the door of the powder tray, as well as come into contact with other moving parts. The matter becomes serious if:
- Impeller bearings broke. Rotate each impeller – to determine the health. If there is no knock, do a test by fastening each impeller in turn – this way you can identify the source of the knock.
- If the knock occurs at times, note its beginning. Bearings can knock – they are in the main and drain pumps. The first is switched on by periods, the second – only at the end of the cycle.
The device does not turn on. In 30% of cases, this situation is associated with power supply and fuse failure. Both cases are easy to fix. True, if the fuse is blown, then the machine consumes too much current, which can cause problems in the future. Failure to work can also be caused by autoblocks:
- The door doesn’t close well. Until the lock is latched, the PMM will not work. Make sure the door is tightly closed.
- Water does not enter the working chamber. If the tap is closed, open it; if the filter or hose is clogged, clean it as described above.
- The programmer is broken. If you cannot find the cause of the failure, there may be a problem with the programmer. In this case, you can’t do it on your own.
The machine is running, but no water enters the chamber. Inspect the hose, the inlet valve may have broken. It is not difficult to change it. Buy a new one and replace. True, in order to replace the part, you will have to disassemble the case.
The decision on who will fix the problem – the owner of the PMM or the master, is made during the diagnosis. Error codes speed up the identification of the cause of problems, and reading the instructions helps to make a preliminary diagnosis. In case of serious damage, be sure to contact the service center.
