8 rules of makeup with a facelift effect

Make-up with a lifting effect allows you to look 50 even at 40. At the same time, you don’t have to be a professional make-up artist to visually reduce yourself a few decades. The main thing is to follow simple anti-aging techniques.

 1. Moisturized radiant skin

2. Light vibes and creamy textures

Elizabeth: When choosing foundation, avoid dense textures, it is better to use light fluids and moisturizing bb-creams with a high content of care components. Products such as Erborian BB cream Nude or La Mer The Soft Fluid will work. It is better to replace dry powders and foundations with a matte finish with textures with a slight radiant effect, this will give the skin additional freshness and will not emphasize flaking.

Elena: Ideally, use a creamy highlighter, not dry, and without large glitters in the texture. Delicacy is the main rule!

3. Hide wrinkles under the eyes

Elizabeth: As for concealers for the under-eye area, pay attention to lightweight concealers with reflective particles, they will better hide signs of fatigue without clogging up wrinkles. My favorites are Yves Saint Laurent Touché Éclat High Cover or Giorgio Armani high precision retouch.

Elena: Do not dye the lower lashes to avoid drawing attention to the wrinkles under the eyes.

4. Refreshing blush and cheekbone correction

Elizabeth: Instead of sharply defined cheekbones with sculpturing blush, add a refreshing peach-salmon blush to the apples of the cheeks and blend gently towards the temples. Prefer cream blush matte, so as not to emphasize wrinkles once again.

Elena: Zygomatic correction is only required if you have a plump face. If the face is thin, then it is better not to highlight the cheekbones so as not to look painful.

5. No heavy gaze and impending century

Elizabeth: Give up the eyeliner of the lower eyelid and mucous membrane – this always makes the look heavier, it is better to focus on the upper one, choosing a more natural brownish-beige range instead of cold gray shades. And instead of a liner and a graphic arrow, use a brown pencil and shaded lines.

Elena: It will be ideal if you learn how to glue tufts of eyelashes to yourself. With their help, you can correct the overhang of the eyelid or raise the lowered outer corner of the eye.

6. Eyelashes – dark chocolate

Elena: Be sure to paint over the space between the eyelids of the upper eyelid. Just don’t use a black pencil, it will look aggressive. Take kayal, a long-lasting soft pencil, a rich brown shade (dark chocolate, coffee) and carefully fill in the space between the lashes.

Elizabeth: Well-dyed eyelashes will additionally open your eyes and make your eyes more expressive, and for the best effect, I recommend using an eyelash curler before applying mascara. I also choose dark brown instead of black for mascara. In my opinion, it looks more natural and delicate.

7. Avoid matte lipsticks

Elizabeth: The most advantageous option for lip makeup is a contoured contour plus a moisturizing lipstick to match the pencil (a coral shade of lipsticks, as a rule, suits any type of appearance and is great for refreshing, take note) or a shine of a natural shade. Forget matte lipsticks if you don’t want to accentuate every wrinkle on your lips.

Elena: Yes, matte lipsticks should be avoided. It is better to use a nude lip gloss or opt for light moisturizing lipstick textures. And in general, moisturize your lips well before using lipstick!

8. Rising lines of makeup

Elena: All makeup lines should be upward, be it blush, highlighter, arrow, shaded shadows, etc.

Elizabeth: In general, it is true – it is necessary that all the lines in the makeup tend upward, this will provide a lifting effect, visually tighten the skin and make you at least 5 years younger.
