Warsaw is ahead of other cities in terms of the number of allergy sufferers, which is related not only to the size of the city, but also to the amount of exhaust fumes produced. Certain medications, genes, lifestyle and cigarettes also increase the risk of developing allergies.
An allergy is an inappropriate response of the immune system to a stimulus that should not be harmful to us. Because our immunity identifies it as something dangerous, it tries to neutralize it and remove it from the body. Every year, the number of allergenic substances increases, which currently amounts to tens of thousands.
The 8 main culprits of allergies
- Latex is to blame for both inhalation allergyas well as contact. Condoms, raincoats and disposable gloves are produced with its use.
