True Lavender Essential Oil Calms Stress
The essential oil of officinal lavender, or true lavender (lavandula angustifolia) has a multitude of properties and virtues that is why it is nicknamed “universal panacea«.
This aromatic essence has its place in the medicine cabinet because it has many virtues: it relieves anxiety, nervousness, insomnia, bloating and digestive disorders.
The Commission1 recognizes in particular the use of lavender to fight against disorders of theagitation and anxiety.
To calm these disorders, several uses can benefit from the benefits of lavender essential oil:
- It is recommended to dilute 1 to 4 drops of essential oil of lavandula angustifolia, per day and before bedtime, in vegetable oil. It is also possible to inhale these therapeutic volatile aromas, it will suffice to place 2 to 4 drops of lavender essential oil in a diffuser.
- Externally, up to 5 drops of lavender essential oil can be applied, diluted in jojoba vegetable oil for example, to the forearms and solar plexus area located in the stomach, just below the breastbone.
Lavender essential oil is a member of the family of essential oils with some harmlessness and is generally well tolerated.
