75-year-old millionaire and wife conceive twins after 23 IVF attempts

Even after surviving five miscarriages, the couple was not going to give up.

The Sydney couple spent six years struggling with infertility, over $ 100 on 23 unsuccessful IVF procedures, survived five miscarriages, but continued to fight for offspring.

To get at least moral support, they started a page “Our way through infertility”, where they shared all their experiences. And finally, wonderful news appeared in the sad diary of the already desperate spouses: 75-year-old millionaire Max Delmed and his 36-year-old wife Sam are expecting twins.

“These were the longest six years of our life, the most difficult time, but we could not stop, because we had one main goal,” Mrs. Delmed shares with her subscribers. “Finally, it’s time to tell everyone that Max and I are expecting not one, but two children in January 2021.”

Sam Delmed worked as a nurse before marriage. In 2015, she married the former co-owner of the Australian professional rugby team. Before and after marriage, the couple were desperately trying to conceive a child. Sam calculated: her pregnancy came after 27 embryos, 168 collected eggs, hundreds of needles, three laparoscopies (gynecological surgery on internal organs through small punctures).

“And the list goes on,” says the mother-to-be. “To say that it was not easy is to say nothing.”

Sam got pregnant for the first time in 2017, but lost her baby in the sixth week. Three months later, the couple discovered that they were expecting twins. Unfortunately, these kids could not survive either.

“That year my whole life was shattered,” recalls Mrs. Delmed.

True, with the onset of pregnancy it did not become easier for a woman.

“The first three months of pregnancy were terrible. I was constantly nauseous, and on some days I just could not get out of bed, – complains Sam. “But through tears and pain, we continued to move on.”

Fortunately, babies are fine. The spouses were convinced of this on a recent ultrasound.

“It was the most enjoyable moment of my entire pregnancy,” says Sam. – The boy weighs 633 grams and the girl 629 grams. Weight is within normal limits, heart beats perfectly. “

However, a few weeks ago, the toddlers made their parents nervous. At 24 weeks of examination, doctors discovered that Sam’s cervix had begun to open.

“My world has turned upside down,” the woman recalls. Then the expectant mother was admitted to the hospital and prescribed a strict bed rest.

“And since then I have been in bed all the time. I get to my feet only to go to the toilet and shower. My goal now is just to hold out every new day. I understand how important it is for the growth and development of babies, so that they stay inside me, ”says Sam. The woman seeks to bring babies up to 32 weeks of pregnancy, so she has to hold out a little more than a month.
