Ann Neville got pregnant when she was 30. She and her husband were not going to have more children – it just happened. And Ellie was born. A few years later, her father, Lin, became very ill. And the girl’s desire to help people impressed everyone so much that the fundraising campaign became much broader than anyone could have imagined. Now the amount that Ellie’s flag has collected is almost one hundred and nine thousand pounds. And the pound, we recall, is the most expensive currency. If you count it in rubles, you get almost eight million. This is a fortune for any hospital.
“This amount is a great opportunity to buy the equipment needed to treat cancer,” said Ellie’s father, who had become a cancer support coordinator by then. – We are very proud of Ellie. What she has achieved is simply amazing. We are delighted to be able to make such a contribution to improving the operation of Pembrokeshire Hospital. ”
Ellie received praise from not only her parents. The House of Lords presented her with a civil award. The city council also awarded the girl. Anyway, Ellie became a local celebrity: all the newspapers in the world wrote about her, she was invited to speak on the radio.
“We will continue to raise funds until the government decides to open a real cancer department in our hospital,” promised Lin Neville.
