7 ways to lose weight (and not a word about diets)

If you’ve ever had to lose weight, you know that dietary changes alone are not enough. Many things in life will have to be looked at in a new way, from attitudes to oneself to habits and physical activity. Here are some tips to help everyone.

1. Find time to play

If you are going to spend time with your child, partner or friends, think about what you can play. When we let go of ourselves, shake off stress and responsibility, laugh, fool around and have fun, we forget about food. During the game we get so many positive emotions! Fool around and play, there is nothing to be ashamed of.

2. Look less at your smartphone screen

The longer you sit in the messenger and social networks, the less time is left for outdoor activities. With a gadget in hand, you just want to lie in bed longer or sit on the couch with a bag of chips, instead of going to the park or meeting friends. If you constantly check what others eat, wear, buy and generally do, then you begin to envy them. This feeling will most likely direct you not to the street, but to the refrigerator.

3. Find something to do

It can be anything: dancing, rock climbing, knitting, crossword puzzles, sewing, beading, poetry, volunteering, organizing events. Anything that piques your interest.

4. Stop talking negatively about yourself

What words define your attitude to food and your own body? If you are often shy, embarrassed, ashamed of your body, it’s time to reconsider your attitude towards yourself. As soon as you hear the condemning voice inside again, stop it and mentally say: “I am grateful for the body that I have”, “I deserve to be loved.” As soon as you begin to take care of the body, respect it (and it certainly has something to respect for), it will feel safe and the connection with it will be restored.

5. Learn to deal with stress

Unpleasant events happen all the time, we cannot influence the course of things, but it is in our power to change our attitude towards them, to learn how to live them productively.

6. Get enough sleep

Sleep keeps us in good shape and shape, gives us health and energy. Sleep as much as you need. Don’t stay up late and get up in the morning as soon as the alarm goes off. Do not rearrange it, otherwise you will feel overwhelmed all day. By the way, interrupted sleep is also stress, and you and I know how harmful it is to health and figure.

7. Spend time in nature

Stand barefoot on the ground or lawn in a park, touch a tree, have a picnic on the grass, hold leaves or flowers in your hands. The advice may seem silly, but any contact with nature makes us more calm and peaceful, makes it possible to be here and now and just be. Being in the present, we are less prone to impulsive actions, including those related to food.
