7 life hacks to help you look fresh on the holidays

As if you didn’t dance till the morning to “Let me on the dance floor”!

Naturally, all our parties until the morning, alcohol and mayonnaise salads first of all hit the beauty of the face! Swelling, dark circles under the eyes, dry skin, rashes, even more pronounced wrinkles and oily shine on enlarged pores – this is not a complete list of all the “gifts” of the holidays! Afraid of seeing a very shabby panda in the mirror the next morning after a stormy and sleepless night? Don’t worry, we know the secrets to revive the freshness of your face!

1. A glass of water with lemon and a hydrogel face mask

Clean water will start the body’s work and invigorate. Citric acid thins the blood, which comes in handy if you missed a glass or two. The face also needs to wake up! To do this, we take a face mask, preferably a hydrogel, not a tissue one, which contains chestnut extract, algae, caffeine or aloe vera. These ingredients will help moisturize your face and tone your skin. Why is hydrogel better? Such a mask, being in the refrigerator, keeps the “chill” longer, which our skin needs so much after a fun night! It creates a complete vacuum, and the substances of the mask will penetrate faster and more actively into the layers of the skin than it would be with a cloth mask, which creates air pockets.

2. Ice cubes with chamomile against bags under the eyes

Of course, they had to be prepared before the New Year. But if you have a great freezer, you can make them quickly. If there is no time and desire, take regular ice cubes and run them under the eyes and over the motionless eyelid, and also slide over the face with massage movements. This will improve blood microcirculation, relieve puffiness and bags under the eyes. Then apply patches under the eyes that contain oils, such as avocado. This will smooth out wrinkles, soften and nourish delicate skin, hide traces of fatigue and lack of sleep. If your main enemy is not puffiness, but dark circles under the eyes, then after an ice cube, apply patches with collagen, arnica, vitamin C, ginseng, cucumber, licorice. These substances organize blood flow to the eyelids and neutralize the blue.

3. Massage your face

If you have special massage rollers, good. If not, it doesn’t matter. Apply some non-greasy cream, such as BB cream or fluid, to your face. With a patting motion of your fingers, hammer it into the skin, and after a couple of minutes, walk your fingers along the massage lines: from the nose to the temples, from the collarbone up the neck to the chin, from the point between the eyebrows in an arc to the temples and from the chin to the temples. Do everything as smoothly and carefully as possible, without rigid movements that injure the skin. You will be surprised, but after such simple manipulations, the face will shine, become smoother and more elastic, less puffy.

4. Do a little exercise and take a contrast shower

Don’t exhaust yourself with vigorous strength training. A 10-minute stretch is enough to feel better physically, accelerate blood and improve its circulation, get a boost of vivacity and get a healthy blush on your cheeks. Due to a little warm-up, a lymphatic drainage effect will occur: excess fluid will be excreted from the body, and you will also say goodbye to toxins! The main thing is not to be lazy and still devote a few minutes to stretching. The result will be obvious, as they say. It is best to end your sports session with a contrast shower. It will also help you get back in order and find a feeling of lightness in the body.

All the previous steps to save the freshness of the face can be crossed out at once in one fell swoop – the wrong make-up. A dense layer of foundation, it seems, will make the skin of the face smoother, hide bruises and minor imperfections. Eyeshadow will help open your eyes, refresh it. But no. The key word here is “seems.”

In fact, it is better not to overload already tired skin with dense textures, but to use light creams. For a radiant complexion, mix a moisturizing BB or CC cream with a drop of liquid highlighter and apply to the skin. Choose sharper contours such as liquid eyeliner for eyeshadow and eyeliner. Make the arrows, not necessarily black. A softer look can be made with a brown liner. Under the eyebrow and on the inner corner of the eye, apply a drop of highlighter to open up your eyes. Blush and lipstick – only delicate, for example, pink or peach. With such a make-up, no one would guess that just a couple of hours ago you saw a tired panda in the mirror!

6. Time to tidy up your hair

Even if your face and body radiate freshness and vigor, your unkempt and tired hair after a stormy night will literally scream that you have not slept today. How to reanimate them? Of course, wash your hair, freshen it up with a mint shampoo. If it is not possible to wash your hair, take a dry shampoo and run it along the roots, beat the strands with your hands, add volume, and then gently comb. Airy and light curls are what you need to tell everyone: “Yes, yes, I did not sleep all night, but it did not affect me in any way!” Avoid sleek hairstyles. They visually lose in terms of freshness to volumetric styling. By the way, one more life hack: the most common cheap baby powder can also act as a dry shampoo! But this tip is more suitable for blondes, as white talcum powder will be noticeable in dark hair.

7. Set your accents

What is the freshness of the face? In clear eyes, even skin tone, well-groomed in general. You can draw the eyes, but if they are reddened or watery, no make-up will save the situation. You will have to use eye drops to relieve itching and redness. Another touch is a white pencil. Run it along the lower edge of the eyelid and immediately add +100 to freshness! With the help of concealer, you can do a miracle at all: a little under the eyes for an even tone, by drawing an inverted triangle, and your face no longer translates fatigue. One last thing: don’t forget about mascara! Make up without it will be incomplete, but long thick eyelashes will refresh the image.
