Even such a simple product is very easy to spoil with just one awkward movement.
Perhaps, there is not a single nutritionist left who would be against eggs in the diet, especially for breakfast. After all, they even help to lose weight! In addition, there are so many recipes for their preparation that you can cook eggs in different ways at least every day. But many of us make mistakes that spoil a delicious dish.
1. Incorrectly split
No one thinks in the morning rush about how to break eggs correctly. The simplest thing is to bang on the edge of a frying pan or bowl. The rounded and rather wide edge of the shell breaks unevenly, crumples it, and as a result, crispy shells float in the fried eggs or omelette. There is nothing harmful in this, if, of course, the eggs were thoroughly washed before cooking. But the feeling is not pleasant. The best way is to gently tap the egg with the back of the knife.
2. Whisk poorly
Beating eggs isn’t just a few hurried strokes with a fork. The main secret of a delicious omelet is uniformity. The mixture should be milky in color without any bright yellow or white blotches. Therefore, if you want an omelet like from a restaurant, then make a real effort. Beat the eggs with a whisk for about three to five minutes to achieve the desired consistency.
3. Strong fire
Many are mistaken in the belief that if eggs are fried over high heat, they will cook faster. Your chatterbox, on the other hand, will dry out. Keep the fire low. Then the dish will turn out to be light and fluffy. Believe me, it’s better to spend three minutes more than choking on dry scrambled eggs, which also stink of wet feathers.
4. Bad frying pan
A lot depends on the frying pan. In order for the dish to turn out not only tasty, but also beneficial, you should not save on dishes. Choose a non-stick and not very cheap skillet. After all, low-quality utensils can emit, when interacting with high temperatures, chemically hazardous elements that affect health.
5. Lots of oil
Of course, this will save the eggs from burning. But the way is so-so. First, excess oil adds a lot of calories. Secondly, it adversely affects the stomach. So be careful not to overdo it. And so that the scrambled eggs do not burn for sure, you can grease the pan in addition to sunflower butter or coconut oil. It will add even more appetizing and unique taste to the dish. In addition, it is important to observe the sequence: how to heat the pan, grease with oil, wait until it warms up, and only then pour the eggs into the pan.
6. Hot water
Boiling an egg – what could be easier. But often the eggs become quite unsightly when the protein flows through the cracks in the shell. This happens when you put eggs only from the refrigerator into boiling water. And you need to either get them out in advance to warm up, or put them in cold water. Then the eggs will cook evenly, and the shell will not crack from the temperature difference.
7. Carelessly clean
Together with the shell, almost a quarter of the protein is separated – this is terribly enraging. By the way, if the egg is poorly cleaned, it means that it is fresh, and if the shell separates easily, it means that your product is of the second freshness. However, even a fresh egg will peel easily if you put it in cold water, lightly crush the shell with your fingers and leave to cool. You will see how the shell comes off effortlessly.
And what else?
– It is important to boil eggs properly to avoid salmonellosis contamination.
– Eggs should be washed just before cooking. If washed after purchase, before placing in the refrigerator, they will deteriorate faster.
– It is better to store eggs not on the door, but on the middle shelf of the refrigerator. The door is the warmest place; food is not stored there for a long time.
