Six-year-old Tomek, who poisoned himself with a toadstool in early August and then underwent a liver transplant, slowly regains consciousness, informed the Children’s Health Center, where the boy is being treated, on Sunday.
You can communicate with Tomek, he understands the instructions, he transmits simple requests, e.g. to change the position on the bed – he informs CZD on his profile on the Facebook social networking site.
On Wednesday, the 6-year-old, who had had his liver transplanted two weeks ago, underwent another surgery.
Tomek got poisoned by the toadstool mushroom on August 7. At the last minute, doctors managed to perform a liver transplant. After the transplant, Tom’s health improved, he began to breathe independently and made contact with the environment.
Last week, on the night from Friday to Saturday, the child’s condition worsened and the boy had to undergo several surgeries. Since then, the 6-year-old has been re-sedated, dialyzed and ventilated. (PAP)
