How are fingerprints made?

A corn is actually a layer of dead, calloused epidermis. This epidermis wears off through constant movement or punctual, permanent pressure. That is why corns are formed after a long training or walk, but also when we stay in one place, but we put on, for example, too tight shoes.

How to treat and prevent corns?

  1. Corns, warts, warts – all these problems can be treated with the means available in pharmacies, of which special patches are the most common. Corn plasters usually contain salicylic acid, which helps to remove the corn and restore the skin’s healthy appearance. In pharmacies, we can also buy special creams and sprays for corns, which can also bring good results if used regularly and as directed.
  2. In everyday hygiene, you should not forget about your feet. They should be thoroughly washed and then you should take some time to remove the dead skin. It is also important to dry your feet thoroughly after leaving the bath and, for example, apply a moisturizing cream to them. In this way, we will be “getting rid of” the dead skin of the feet on an ongoing basis, which could easily turn into a print.
  3. It is also worth buying special emollients, which can soften dead skin and remove it with even greater ease.
  4. From home remedies for corns, it is recommended to soak your feet in water with a mixture of chamomile infusion or in hot water with the addition of table mustard. Both of these methods allow for a significant softening of the epidermis, which in this way will be prepared for the removal of dead epidermis with a pumice stone.
  5. Corns can also be removed with home remedies using natural garlic and ordinary plasters, available at any pharmacy. It is enough to cut one larger slice of garlic and put it on a washed and cleaned callus on fresh and moisturized skin, and then cover the garlic with a plaster. The dressing can be changed several times a day. After 1-3 days, the corn should disappear completely.
  6. Choosing the right, comfortable footwear is essential when fighting corns. Shoes cannot be too small, because then they obviously compress the foot and some of its parts. However, they also cannot be too large. A loose shoe will chafe the leg and corns may form in these places. In addition, people with some defects, such as bunions, should choose corrective footwear that will be able to properly correct the defect.
