6 petal diet: how to lose 5 kg in a week

A fashionable nutritional system that allows you not to give up your favorite food and lose weight.

We all dream of a perfect figure, and Victoria’s Secret models and instabloggers instill in ordinary girls a lack of confidence in their own beauty. Despite the fact that body positivism is developing rapidly, every day new diets appear that promise instant results and record weight loss. Recently, celebrities have been discussing the 6-petal diet, and we will tell you what its meaning is.

The essence of the method

The 6 Petal Diet was developed by Swedish nutritionist Anna Johansson. While developing this nutritional system, the nutritionist decided to psychologically support women who were losing weight and gave the diet a playful shape and floral image. Anna advises to draw her favorite flower and six petals. Every day, opening one of them, you will understand that you have lost weight in a day and are one step closer to success.

Impact principle

Each petal is one day of a mono-diet, and a mono-diet is, in fact, a separate diet. When consuming food that is prescribed in a particular petal, you should not mix it with other incompatible foods. The mono diet provides a high rate of weight loss due to the monotonous food throughout the day. The European Research Center for Weight Loss has shown that a mono diet that lasts no more than 25 hours has the most aggressive effects on fat. This happens with the help of one of the organs of the digestive system – the liver, which stores various nutrients and stores fat.

Another feature of the 6 petal diet is the alternation of proteins and carbohydrates. Dr. Anna Johansson says that this is the key to successful weight loss.

Diet

First petal – fish day. You can eat boiled fish all day, but not more than 500 grams per day. Distribute your portions so you don’t get hungry throughout the day.

Second petal – vegetable day. It is recommended to include in your diet vegetables with a low glycemic index: green vegetables, cabbage, cauliflower, zucchini, tomatoes, pumpkin. You can eat 1500 grams of various vegetables throughout the day.

Third petal – chicken day. During the day, you can eat 500 grams of chicken fillets (boiled, baked or stewed). Just as with fish, you need to distribute this amount throughout the day.

Fourth petal – cereals. You can eat any grains all day, up to a maximum of 200 grams. The healthiest options are wild rice, buckwheat, and millet.

Fifth petal – curd day. You do not need to lean on cheese or sweet yoghurts, it is best to choose medium-fat natural cottage cheese. You need to eat it no more than 500 grams per day. Milk is also allowed.

Sixth petal – fruit day. The amount you can eat is 1500 g. An important recommendation: choose fruits that are not very sweet and do not contain starch. They can be consumed both raw and baked (in this case, you can use cinnamon, vanillin and lemon zest).

– The Swedish six-petal diet remains one of the most popular mono diet variations. Its essence is in the successive alternation of fish, vegetable, chicken, grain, milk and fruit days. Of course, this method of emergency weight loss is more gentle than the use of one type of product for six days. The result can be overwhelming – you can lose up to five kilograms. However, this is just the tip of the iceberg and you need to learn about the pitfalls before going on a diet.

A large intake of protein on fish, chicken and milk days can provoke an exacerbation of kidney disease, and an excess intake of fiber on cereal, vegetable and fruit days aggravates stomach diseases, causes gas formation and indigestion.

The diet is contraindicated in adolescents, pregnant women, people with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, diabetes, anemia and autoimmune diseases. It is forbidden to sit on this diet more than once every six months.

The main disadvantage of the “six petal” diet is an imbalance in the diet and too rapid weight loss due to water, so it is difficult to maintain the achieved result. For all six days of the diet, you will have to completely abandon sugar, salt and any sweets, you will have to drink clean water and eat at least six times a day. Observing only these principles, you can already build without harm to health. After the end of the diet, you must continue to eat a balanced diet. Only daily nutritional control will give long-term results and health!
