Anna Johansson (nutritionist, originally from Sweden) developed this diet. It is called 6 petals because it lasts 6 days. Each new day implies the use of a new petal – a certain mono-diet.
6 petal diet requirements
According to this diet, the principles of separate nutrition are observed. Moreover, the division of meals is not only hourly (as with the standard rules of such a meal regimen), but also daily. Every day a new regimen, involving the intake of specific foods. As the author of this diet notes, it is imperative to follow the sequence of the described days, otherwise the result will not be as significant as it may be, or even be invisible.
On the first day, you need to eat exclusively fish all day, on the second – on vegetables, on the third – on chicken meat, on the fourth the use of cereals is attributed, on the fifth – cottage cheese, and the diet ends with a fruit day.
Now more about the diet menu. In what form can the aforementioned products be consumed so as not to break the 6 petal rules?
At first a day is allowed to eat fish (300-500 g of finished product). Fish cooking methods: stewing, boiling, baking or any other method in which oil and various fats are not added. Of course, you can’t fry. But pampering yourself with a fish dish cooked in an oven or double boiler is possible and even necessary. By the way, you can salt the fish, if you wish. But do not overdo it! After all, as you know, excess salt can retain water.
In the second day we eat exclusively vegetables (up to 1,5 kg). They can also be boiled or stewed and of course raw. Any vegetables are allowed. Starchy potatoes are also not forbidden, but do not focus on them. Tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage and their pick are your best friends on this day.
The third protein day is to eat skinless chicken breast (500 g). Cooking methods are allowed the same as for fish products on the first day. You can also have a snack with chicken broth with herbs, seasonings are allowed at your discretion.
In the fourth cereal day for use, according to the 6 petal diet, any cereals are allowed (200 g of dry cereal). You need to cook them in water. In this case, you can add salt and herbs. In order to somehow diversify your diet, you can afford some seeds, cereal crisps, and bran. From drinks, in addition to water, unsweetened coffee and tea (they are allowed to drink with this diet every day), today it is allowed to drink a little kvass.
The fifth day Anna Juhansson advises to focus on cottage cheese (400-500 g). Cottage cheese should be taken low-fat or with a fat content threshold of up to 5%. Fatty fermented milk product is not suitable for you now! You can also drink some low fat milk.
In the final day of the 6 petal diet, the nutritionist recommends replenishing the reserves of vitamins in the body, which is now very handy, by eating fruits (up to 1,5 kg). You can feast on any fruit, both raw and baked. To somehow improve and diversify their taste, you can add cinnamon and vanillin when cooking. Fruit juices can be added to the permitted liquids today. But they shouldn’t contain sugar. Therefore, common store products are unlikely to work. Look carefully at the composition of the drinks you drink, or rather, drink juice or compote of your own preparation.
To make it easier to spend time on this diet, we suggest that you familiarize yourself with the menu options that you can follow if you do not want to compose the diet yourself. Of course, you can also upgrade them, keeping the basic rules in mind.
At first day of diet, fishy, eat steamed fish during breakfast. For lunch, fish soup will be an excellent, hearty and healthy solution for the stomach. Boil the fish fillets, drain the water, leaving very little liquid in which the product was cooked. Then you need to grind the fish (you can use a blender for this). Boil for a few more minutes. Add herbs and seasonings to taste if desired. But for dinner, you can bake your favorite type of fish in the oven, adding a little lemon juice for a piquant taste.
In the second a day called vegetable, a good choice for breakfast is a salad of tomatoes, avocado and lettuce. Of course, you can add and interchange ingredients as you wish. For lunch, you can enjoy pumpkin puree soup. You can prepare it like this. The pumpkin is peeled and diced. Then boil it and send it to a blender to grind. Season with pepper and salt to taste if desired. Actually, lunch is ready. Dinner – vegetable stew. Take the required amount of carrots, onions. Fry slightly. But remember that it is not recommended to use oil on a diet (an exception may be a couple of drops, but it is better to do without it). Then add the eggplant and cabbage, stew everything. A tasty and healthy dish is ready. If you feel hungry between meals (which could be on such a day, because the foods that are used are not very satisfying and are quickly digested), you can have a snack, for example, a cucumber or tomato, or a small portion of salad from these vegetables.
The third day, the grocery chapter of which is chicken meat, it is recommended to cook chicken fillet in the oven for breakfast. You can bake it under herbs (in particular, under arugula, dill, etc.). This will add juiciness to the dish. For lunch, eat delicious chicken broth, cut pieces of meat into it. For dinner, reward yourself for fortitude and adherence to dietary (agree, not so terrible) rules with steamed chicken cutlets. You can prepare this dish using minced chicken or minced meat of this type.
In the fourth day 6 petals, when you need to eat cereals, the menu may be as follows. Breakfast – buckwheat brewed in the evening. It is not difficult to prepare it: just pour boiling water over the cereal in the evening, and in the morning the dish is ready for use. Lunch – boiled rice. It is advisable to cook not white, but steamed, or, for example, brown. Dinner – oatmeal cooked in water.
The fifth the day when it is recommended to use cottage cheese, you can have breakfast with a small portion of this product (up to 5% fat), to which you can add, for example, a little vanilla or cinnamon. A glass of low-fat milk is allowed for lunch. Lunch and dinner duplicate breakfast. It is also allowed to drink milk for afternoon tea. Or, if the curd is dry, you can add a little milk to it.
On the sixth day of the diet, when you need to eat fruit, the following menu is recommended. Breakfast – a fruit salad, the ingredients of which can be an apple, an orange and a pear. For your second breakfast, have a peach or nectarine snack. Dine on a fruit salad. You can duplicate breakfast, or you can dream up. An afternoon snack is a large apple or a glass of juice of any fruit without sugar. Dinner – fruit puree (it is important that it is natural, without sugar), or again fruit salad.
Contraindications to the 6 petal diet
Like any other nutritional system, this diet also has some contraindications. So, it is not worth observing it for those who have diseases that at the moment require medical or preventive treatment. You should definitely not communicate with this diet if you have kidney, liver or pancreatic disease, anemia, diabetes mellitus, fever. You can not follow this diet for pregnant women and mothers during lactation.

If you have not achieved the desired weight loss, but this diet was comfortable for you and fit, you can repeat it again. But, according to the recommendations of specialists, it is better to do this no earlier than 2 weeks later.
