They predict that physical therapy, which has been struggling with many problems for a long time, will not survive this extremely difficult situation. Coronavirus and physiotherapy in Poland

The letter reads:

I hope that the Polish government and parliament will not wake up too late again, that is when all Poles will be deprived of access to physical therapy. Already, 2 million patients are waiting in the queue. I wish you success in fighting the crisis, I hope for positive solutions for Poles and I would like to inform you that we will continue to alert and provide further data on the dramatic situation in Polish physiotherapy.

How to help physiotherapists? KIF’s proposals

In his letter, the President of the KIF recommends several solutions that could improve the situation of physiotherapists, including

  1. non-returnable support of up to 60% lost annual revenues (not more than PLN 40 thousand),  
  2. guarantees of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego for preferential loans for a period not longer than 2 years at the level of 80% loan up to an amount not exceeding PLN 200 zloty,  
  3. rent subsidies for up to 1 year.

The editorial board recommends:
