5 ways to diversify the summer in the city

This year, many will spend the summer in the city: not everyone has a dacha, and the available resorts are now overcrowded. It sounds sad, but since we cannot change the situation, we will try to adapt to it. What to do in the warm season in the city so that these months leave vivid memories of yourself?

Summer is the time when you especially want to break away from the usual scenery, change the environment, and most importantly, get closer to nature. A trip to the sea or, for example, to the mountains, seems like an ideal option. But what if this is not possible?

1. From car to bike

Try changing the mode of transport that you usually use – change from the subway, car or bus to a bike. Thanks to this, you will see your city from a new angle, you will be surprised how many interesting details were previously hidden from your eyes.

Plus, cycling is good for your health. The body will become more resilient, muscles will strengthen, excess weight will begin to melt and even the skin will shine. Regular cycling improves blood circulation and contributes to a more active saturation of its oxygen.

If you can’t ride a bike, you can at least walk more often

At the same time, cycling literally “airs” the head: it is a kind of meditation that reduces the level of anxiety and stress.

And of course, we must not forget about the benefits that the decision to switch to a bicycle will bring to the environment. After all, cars burn fuel, and its vapors poison the air with toxic substances, which leads to climate change. If you can’t ride a bike, you can at least walk more often.

2. Picnics in the parks

The easiest way to get closer to nature in the city is to go to the park. And in the summer, it’s also so nice to have a picnic there. Gather your favorite friends, buy delicious food (it’s time to give preference to seasonal berries and fruits), take a blanket and go.

Enjoy the warmth, the sun and don’t forget to walk barefoot on the grass. There are special points on the feet, the stimulation of which helps to improve the functioning of internal organs, increase immunity, as well as normalize the mental state. Such periodic outings will help to fully experience the summer and relax your soul.

3. City beaches

In addition to parks, many cities also have beaches. Water helps to put your thoughts in order, refresh yourself and feel unity with nature. Do not deprive yourself of the pleasure of swimming on a hot summer day, even if you are in the city.

And if you want to get a thrill, you can try to sunbathe on a nudist beach or dive into a cool body of water at night under the starry sky.

4. Garden on the windowsill and garden on the balcony

In summer, all living things are at the peak of energy, and everyone wants to join this flourishing state. And even though there is no opportunity to set up your garden or garden in the city, this can be done right in the apartment.

If you have a balcony, you can turn it into a greenhouse: buy a variety of flowers and indoor plants, surrounded by which it will be so nice to drink a cup of morning coffee or read a couple of pages of a book. On the windowsill, you can plant greens – parsley, dill, basil, as well as some vegetables, such as cucumbers, carrots or peppers.

5. Weekend without a phone

Why not put on such an experiment? We live in a time of information overload. In recent years, mankind has produced more information than in all previous history.

It is necessary to periodically clear your thoughts and spend at least a couple of days without gadgets – alone with yourself

At the same time, the brain does not have time to quickly adjust to the new pace of work, because of which it can experience overload, and this, in turn, leads to many mental disorders. Therefore, it is necessary to periodically clear your thoughts and spend at least a couple of days without gadgets – alone with yourself, contemplating the beauty created in the summer.

Life does not always meet expectations, however, it is in our power to find pluses in any situation and see the new horizons that it opens up. And to make it easier, try keeping a diary during the summer. Recordings will not only help you evaluate what is happening from the outside, but will also teach you to pay attention to pleasant little things, memories of which will warm your soul for the rest of the year.
