On the one hand, it is convenient and logical. On the other hand, it is risky for technology.
When buying a washing machine, the question arises: where is it better to put it? To the bathroom, hallway or kitchen? Most often, the choice falls on the first option.
Of course, it is very convenient when the washing machine is close to all communications. You don’t have to spend money on additional eyeliner. In addition, a working machine will not be heard behind a closed door. And everything for washing is at hand. After all, powder, conditioner and bleach are usually stored in the bathroom.
However, there are downsides that still outweigh the weighty benefits.
High humidity
Due to the proximity to the sink and bathtub, the parts of the washing machine will begin to rust faster. The steam emanating from the water will constantly settle on it. Due to high humidity and poor ventilation, the internal mechanism will corrode sooner or later. And repairing a washing machine will not be cheap!
Door space
Bathrooms in ordinary apartments are already small in size. And with a washing machine with a huge hatch, it will be impossible to push through, especially if the machine is standing next to the exit. After all, after washing, she must stand for some time with the hatch open. However, this only applies to front-loading machines. Washers of the vertical type do not eat up excess space, but they are usually more overall in themselves.
Limited choice
In order to somehow increase the space in the bathroom, you will have to choose a small-sized washing machine, and therefore wash in small portions. Bedspreads and blankets may be beyond the power of such a machine.
Overheating
Trying to save space, many put the typewriter in a niche under the sink. The washer, being in this position, will fail faster. The point is that it will not be able to cool down properly. Overheating can cause problems with the internal mechanism.
Danger of electric shock
Again, the bath belongs to a room with high humidity. Few people know that it is dangerous to wash and turn on the typewriter at the same time. If not properly grounded, a person who is peacefully splashing in the shower can get a strong electric shock.
