How to help the body stay young.
Collagen is a protein responsible for the elasticity of tissues and youthfulness of the skin. And nothing that with age it is produced less and less. For this case, we already have collagen creams, procedures, dietary supplements and even collagen massage. It remains only to choose your own way of preserving youth.
Method 1. Choose the right cream
The most obvious way is to look for cans of animal, marine, or plant collagen on the ingredient list. But don’t be in a hurry. The collagen molecule is very large, and it is quite difficult for it to penetrate the epidermal barrier. It is more competent to stimulate the production of your own collagen, and substances such as retinol, vitamin C, coenzyme Q10, peptides are responsible for this. Look for them.
Method 2. Adjust the diet
Enrich your diet with foods that stimulate the production of your own youthful protein, preferably daily. The main collagen superfoods include: acai berries (they are high in antioxidants), green salads (they contain vitamins A and C), garlic (it contains sulfides that stimulate collagen production, and taurine, which can restore its damaged fibers) and blueberries (its main plus – in phytonutrients that strengthen collagen bonds). If fresh blueberries are not available, use frozen ones.
Method 3. Make a hardware procedure
Today, cosmetologists know dozens of procedures designed to work on collagen. One of the most popular methods is thermage. The principle of its operation is simple: under the action of a special sensor, the skin heats up from the inside, old collagen is destroyed, and new collagen is rapidly accumulated in its place. Another group of techniques is associated with low-frequency vibrations. With ridolysis, for example, a low-frequency current is supplied to the mimic muscles, metabolic processes in the tissues are accelerated, and this, in turn, helps the production of collagen and lifting.
Method 4. Go for a massage
In principle, any massage promotes the production of collagen, but especially in this regard, a specialized collagen facial massage is good. The procedure may not be the most pleasant in terms of sensations (the task of the master is to work with deep tissues), but it is effective. To achieve a tangible result, it is worth taking a course of 10-15 sessions.
Method 5. Start taking dietary supplements
This method is good because, when taken internally, collagen does not need to penetrate the epidermal barrier: 15 minutes – and the protein begins to act, distributing itself to those parts of the body where it is most needed. Here, however, there is one caveat. If, in addition to the loss of skin elasticity, you are worried about other problems associated with collagen deficiency (for example, sore joints), then protein comes to the aid of the most vulnerable organs. And only when the more important tasks of the body are solved, collagen will begin to be deposited in skin cells.
