5 main beauty phobias of modern women

Admit it, you have them too!

The beauty market is developing every day, more and more new procedures and gadgets appear. Modern women, on the one hand, want to try all this, but on the other hand, such an abundance of new things gives rise to a lot of fears and phobias.

1. Fear of old age

This is the main phobia due to which most women decide to go to a beautician. The fear of old age is especially intensified after parting, when the realization comes that youth is passing, and the time cannot be turned back. After sleepless nights spent at the computer or at the bedside of a child (the effect is the same), when the face looks wrinkled and haggard, the hair is dull, and the eyes are puffy, old age, as an inevitability, looms and frightens with uselessness for society, loneliness and illness. It seems to us that by “fixing” the face, we will fix everything else.

2. Fear of pain

It is this fear that scares women away from many procedures – mesotherapy, leeches, acid peels, Botox injections. It seems that the pain will be so strong, and the suffering so long, that no beauty will justify such sacrifices. In addition, women most often want to remain beautiful in order to maintain self-love, and not in order to experience negative painful emotions.

3. Fear of the dark

He is close to the fear of death. Only death implies the end of everything, and darkness implies incomprehensible trials with possible suffering in the process. Therefore, many patients of clinics are afraid when they are asked to close their eyes and remain with their eyes closed until the end of the procedure, since during the procedure, masks and solutions can be applied to the face, the contact of which can cause severe irritation. Sometimes, for a prolonged effect, a woman is left alone in the office with a mask on her face, dim lights and closed eyes. It is then that all the demons of fear begin to creep out.

4. Fear of losing yourself

The fear of losing oneself is equivalent to the fear of death: “I am no more, there is someone else. And this other is not me. ” And here women have a dilemma: on the one hand, they want updates. On the other hand, you want to stay the same, in yourself and with yourself. Therefore, all kinds of procedures for correcting the upper eyelid, the shape of the face, lips and nose cause ambiguous reactions in patients. Someone is delighted with the new self, someone wants to return everything back. Some even get depressed.

5. Fear of deception

As a rule, it manifests itself in those who believe that the world is hostile, and everyone around is charlatans and wants to cheat, take more money, impose unnecessary services, sell an unnecessary drug, another jar of cream or a fake. Such patients are distinguished either by increased aggression: “Leave me, I myself know everything!”, Or, on the contrary, by cold detachment: “Thank you! I’ll make my own decision, but later. ” And it is not easy to sell them something beyond what is planned. The fear of deception protects against overspending.
