5 luxurious cinema bedrooms

A good movie is not only a gripping plot, beautiful special effects and great actors. A truly high-quality film is good in everything – from casting to scenery. In the center of our attention are the bedrooms of movie characters, which serve as a source of inspiration even for professional designers. The 5 most beautiful bedrooms in cinema were chosen by interior designer Evgenia Evlieva.

Our state of mind directly depends on the atmosphere in which we live, what we prefer to surround ourselves with. So the house becomes a real mirror of our soul. Watching the adventures of movie heroes, we involuntarily stop looking at the scenery. A cozy shabby chic kitchen or a functional minimalist interior can tell a lot about the character of a character.

But the most interesting, of course, is hidden behind the closed doors of the cinema bedrooms. Let’s look there to be inspired and, perhaps, to embody a couple of successful and spectacular tricks from the best decorators of the cinema world in our own bedroom.

1. The Great Gatsby (2013)

If in the interiors of the Gatsby house we see a kind of mix – the classic style echoes the Victorian and Art Deco, then the bedroom is a real example of Art Deco without impurities. By the way, this style is still relevant today.

Finishing with expensive mahogany, smooth, streamlined shapes of furniture and contrasting spots: mirrors, graphics. The bedroom resembles the interior of a luxury ocean yacht.

2. Marie Antoinette (2006)

Luxurious palace historical classics with floral motifs and rococo elements. Today this style is called “shabby chic”. This is a completely feminine aesthetic with elements of gilding, curtains, tapestries, candlesticks. Excessive luxury, which was always loved by kings.

3.2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)

Film-manifesto about eclectic design. Mixing classic elements with futuristic details can be a boon for designers. The walls in the bedroom are finished in a classic style.

There are sculptures and classical furniture, and the floor is made of frosted glass with hidden lighting, which is typical for futuristic interiors.

As a designer, I would add in-between elements to this bedroom. They would throw a “bridge” between classics and futurism – and we would get avant-garde or modern minimalism.

4.Mulen Rouge (2001)

Since this is a musical film, there is some hypertrophy, theatricality of images in it. The Moulin Rouge is not only a nightclub, but also a luxurious brothel, so the interior of the bedrooms plays an important role.

The bedroom of the main character is made in oriental style and decorated in luxurious burgundy tones with gilding – there are velvet bedspreads, bright pillows with tassels, and carpets. Many elements of carving, forging. Everything says that this is a place to please men.

5. Cruel Intentions (1999)

The singularity of this bedroom is that it is made in a niche. Canopy-type curtains were used for space zoning. The bedroom is decorated in a noble blue color with unpretentious, aged gilding. The interior makes a decent impression and can become a source of inspiration for any designer and a guide to the art of zoning rooms.
